Hunkydory Product Review!!! Wow!!!

Hello my dear Friends,  I hope you are all keeping snug
and warm now that the weather is getting chillier by the day!!

I was thrilled when I was asked if I would like to review some
Hunkydory products and share my views with my blogging friends
and my social media friends.  Well!! what do you think I said!! a big
mahoooooosive YES!!! thank you very much!

I chose two elements to play with and although I've only used a few I
will definitely be making a lot more with the remainder of these
fabulous goodies.

Here is my first card and I stuck true to my preferred size of card
which is either a 6"x 6" square or a 5"x 5" square.  In saying that
I will be making A5 cards and shaped card to incorporate the fabulous
foiled, die cut  toppers and sentiments from the topper pad.

Here is my first card!!
The Snowy Days Topper pad gives you 40 Luxury Foiled & Die-Cut sheets
featuring 2 each of 20 different Designs. You get your main scene
and a  choice of sentiments and borders.  Everything you need to make
 stunning Christmas cards.

For this card I used 2 sheets of the same design as I wanted to fussy
cut some of the elements to make my card more dimensional.
The fussy cut elements are the house roof, the house porch
roof, the post box and the snowman's scarf, hat and face.
The sentiment comes from the same sheet.

The dies I used were from the Moonstone collection and
these particular ones are called Deck The Halls which gives you
eight dies in total to play with.  I used only two of the dies as shown
in my picture above.  One of the corner dies and one of the fancy
edge dies.  I joined them together to make a square border.  But these
would also work on an A5 size card.

A close up of the decoupaged elements

For my second card I once again used one of the topper die-cut sheets which
gave me the sentiment as well.  This time I used the large square die and the
small corner accent die in a contrasting colour to pick out the lovely spots
of red on the gorgeous winter scene.  The only thing I added to this pretty
card were 4 pearls in the centre of the corner accents.

Here is a quick sum up of my experience with Hunkydory products.
The dies are beautifully designed. They cut and release with ease
(which is important ifyou are doing multiple cards of the same design)

The Whopper Topper Pad is Adorable Scorable 300gsm card stock. The
20 Winter themed scenes are so well designed.
There is something there for every one.

A close up view of this adorable winter scene and the intricate detailing
on the Moonstone dies.

Thank you so much Hunkydory for the wonderful products you sent
me to play with.  I had a fabulous few hours crafting with them.

Thank you also to my friends who take the time to visit with me and
leave such motivating comments.  Please go to the bottom of the
post where I will have links to the products used to make it
easier for you to go shopping.!!

Hugs n Love

My 1st Mixed Media Altered book!!

Hello my dear friends,   I'm here today to share my latest creation with you and
a first for me!!  I've seen people alter and decorate old books by ripping out pages and
inserting all their snippets of leftover papers and then adding bits of lace, keys, flowers
etc etc.  So I thought I would try it out.!!!! I LOVED THE END RESULT!!!!

I am definitely going to be making lots more of these as gifts for friends etc.

The papers for the covers and spine are Moonstone from Prima!!!
The inside of the book has been gesso'd and distressed with Tim Holtz
distress inks.

Here is a view of the Left hand side of the book

The pages have just been ripped out randomly and some have been glued together
to form little pockets where extra papers can be added.

A view below of the right hand side of the book

The back covers and spine I've kept simple as this really won't be see once
displayed on a stand.

Thank you so much for popping in to visit with me I do hope you got a little
inspiration and please come back and see me again soon

Have a lovely day.

Hugs
