Friendship Gift

Really enjoy creating this project. It's one of my close girlfriends birthday soon and I wanted to give her something different. I had an old discoloured box that I used for hair clip and odds and sods. I painted it first with FolkArt pigment paint raw sienna and when it was dry I added a top coat of Vermeet Acrylic Gold, I relined the inside with Dark Chocolate heavy card and embossed this with my cuttlebug script folder. The flowers are made from CCSR paper, I cut the flowers from the backing paper and used stickles to glitter them up, the leaves and cream flowers are from old Xmas roses that I couldn't throw away, so I cut them up for this project. Not sure yet what I will put inside the box, maybe some earings or a bracelet with lots of tissue paper.

The box is going into 3 challenge and the card is entering 6 but I couldn't split them up!!

1. Moving along with the Times challenge: I followed Clare's sketch and the theme to go with it was to chose anything you liked.
2. ABC Challenge: Are looking for buttons this week, there are four on my card at the centre of the circles.
3. Pile it On Challenge: The theme this week is Good things come in Threes, I have 3 different types of embossing on my card and three pearls on my box.
4. Stampin' Chic Challenge: The theme this week is are you ready to be wowed!! Create something Chic.
5. The Crafty Pad Challenge: Is a recipe challenge this week of 1. Embossed paper
2. Ribbons 3. Buttons or brads.
6. Truly Scrumptious Challenge: The theme this week is anything but a card. I hope my box is acceptable.
7. Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge: The theme this week is Turquoise & Brown
my card has both these colours.

Thank you so much for visiting me, I really love reading your comments and appreciate your views.

Framed Willow MMSC15

I just loved the sketch over at Midnight Madness Challenge, usually It's the first place I head to on a Tuesday which I did do just to see the DT cards and get the new sketch and I usually upload my entry on Wednesday, I loved the sketch but couldn't get my Mojo into gear. I wanted to do something different for me, and I kept going back and revisiting the DT examples, which by the way are to die for. They have made me braver in my attitude to crafting, I've tried different mediums weekly, sorry if I'm gushing a little but they are very very inspiring over there. Click on the name above if you would like to visit them.

Anyway 3 days later I have come up with this card as an entry into MMSC15 and I'm quite pleased with it.

Thank you so much for visiting, I do hope you come back and see me again.

Mimi's Xmas

Evening Friends, another wet and wind day here in Scotland. I think summer is definitely finished here and it's only August. I did some visiting today to my favourite blogs and was inspired to make this card for 4 challenges. Princess Invitation

It's been another wet and windy day today, so thought I'd crack on with 12 invitations that my daughter asked me to make for the little girls who are coming to my Grandsons' girlfriends birthday party, she is making another 12 for the little boys. I haven't seen them yet but I'm sure they will be lovely.

Just to bring you up to speed, I have twin Grandsons aged 5 and they both like Tegan (the birthday girl) very much, in fact Aaron insists that he is going to take her out for a meal to Franky & Benny's and then he is going to marry her, but he will wait until he is 12 before he asks her. Now Ross, he is the quieter of the two but I have a funny feeling he will get to it when he is 11. They are soo..... funny at times, they do keep me young. I just love my conversations with them.

Anyway enough of my meanderings. I am entering this card into no less than 5 challenges.

1. The Cuttlebug Spot Sunday Challenge:
this week the theme is invitations.
2. Sunday Sketch & Stamp: I followed Maggie's lovely sketch. The only thing I omitted was the flower at the bottom of the sketch. I hope the rest is acceptable.
3. Pollycraft Monday Challenge: This weeks theme is Your Favourite Things, well I love using ribbons, glitter and bling. So I think this qualifies.
4. Papertake Weekly Challenge: Are celebrating their 100th Challenge, and the spec this week is to choose any one of the previous 99. I chose Swirls.
5. Incy Wincy Designs: We haven't seen Greg for a few weeks due to DT illness and other problems, but it's nice to see them back, the theme this week is Feminine, with Girlie colours.

Thank you so much for coming to visit me at my little domain, I really do appreciate it. Hope you all have a nice evening.

Hi friends, well I had fun making this today, I've been working over the last 3 days so haven't had much time to craft and I so much needed a new pen holder, so hey presto the challenge over at Simon Says Challenge the spec this week is anything but a card, we were told to use our imagination, so here is my entry for this week.

Over at CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS Challenge they are looking for a GIFT (boxes bags etc)
as this is a gift for myself I'm hoping it qualifies. Watch this space because I am going to be making a set of other holders to match this one.
Thank you so much for visiting I do hope you will come back and see me again.

Victorian Lady MMSC14

Hi Everyone, it's that time of the week again, my favourite day is Tuesday because I know I have the new Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge to look forward too along with all the fantastic DT cards to browse over and get inspiration from. My next favourite day is the day I upload my card/project after completing the challenge. If you haven't visited Priscilla, then please just click on the name highlighted and hey presto you are there.

I bought this lovely image from my local craft store, she is one of four on a A4 sheet, I just couldn't decide the colour scheme for this project so I made up a mood board to help me chose the colours etc for the project, and although the image is really pretty I though she was missing something, a little colour. So using my glimmer chalks I decided to give her a make-over. I gave her blue eyes, golden eyeshadow, red lips and pink blush cheeks, I think she look great. I also coloured her hairband and the roses she is holding.

Thank you so much for visiting me at my little space, do come back anytime,
you are always welcome.

Classy Lady

I'm way behind this week, usually I can keep up with my crafting but my Mojo is in slow drive. So I had a look at some of my favourite challenge blog sites for inspiration and two hours later I designed this card to accompany my altered chocolate box for my friend and it covers quite a few challenges. I love this stamp and wanted to do something different with her, so I paper pieced the hat and coat using different materials.
The Hat and the lapels were stamped onto white card and then I used pro markers to colour them in, I embossed them using my cuttlebug folder swissdots. The actual coat is stamped onto wood free handmade paper it has a boucle effect which I am quite pleased with. I coloured the band on the hat with black glitter pen and popped on a small rose for effect.

Here are the challenges she is going into.

1. The Crafty Pad Challenge: I followed the sketch which was designed by Jess
2. Pile it on Challenge: 3 flowers required this week along with your project being entered into at least one more challenge.
3. Whimsy Stamps Challenge: This week the theme is Friendship.
4. Die Cut Dreams Challenge: This week theme is Fashion Frenzy
5. A spoon Full of Sugar Challenge: This week it is Floral Fantasy.

Thank you so much for visiting, I do hope you will pop in and see me again.
