First Easel Card

Hi Friends, hope you are all having a great start to your week ahead. Can you believe it's only 25 days more to Christmas. This is my first easel card and do you know what? I thoroughly enjoyed making it. Think I'm hooked for a while, they do take a little longer but the effect is just fantastic, I'm just loving this shape of card. I am entering it into the following challenges:

1. Tellen's Place Challenge: This is the second week of Terry's challenges and she is one very generous Lady, already she has given away free digital images, candy, surprise gifts and more. Do pop along and become a follower and remember to say Suzi sent you. This weeks theme is RED & GREEN - there isn't a lot of green on my card, but I hope its enough.
2. Just Magnolia Challenge: This is the first time I've had the courage to enter this challenge, I always felt that I hadn't perfected my colouring, still haven't mind you!!! but I'll keep practicing with my new promarkers and I'll get there in the end. This week I followed the lovely sketch that was provided.
3. Pile it on Challenge: This week the theme has been set as Flowers & Flourishes. Another great challenge and some wonderful examples to view from the DT.
4. Lexi's Creations Challenge: The theme Lexi chose this week is Shaped cards, I'm hoping that my easel card is classed as shaped. Once again some great DT work to browse.
5. Crafty Catz Challenge: The theme this week has been set by Suzie and it's Angels or Fairies. I have used Tilda with wings, again not sure if this will be classed as and Angel, but I think she is very Angelic, blowing her heart shaped kisses.
6. The Pink Elephant Challenge: This week the theme is Colour me Wonderful, which means - use your favourite colouring mediums. I've just started collecting my promarkers - think it's 30 I have just now so at the moment this is my favourite medium.

I hope the rest of the week is a good one for you all. Thank you so much for visiting me and leaving such lovely comments, they are very much appreciated.

Gift Certificate Wallet

Hiya Friends, Made this wallet for the challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenge, the theme this week is to make a Gift card holder. My Grandson had bought his Uncle some vouchers for his Christmas so instead of the boring old envelope I gave him this to put his voucher in. I think my Son will be delighted with it when he receives it. The Paper is so scrummy, it's handmade but looks and feels like leather.

ChristmasTeacup Baby

I just adore this Peachy Keen stamp, so when following Chelsea's Sketch over at
Crafting life's Pieces Challenge
I thought this was an ideal image to stamp up especially as the theme over at
Doodle Palace Challenge
this week is a pink Christmas card.
Another Christmas theme is from
Charisma Cardz Challenge
Some gorgeous examples from the DT.

As I said in my previous post my Christmas card list is coming down a treat with all these lovely challenges. This is my first year of hand making any kind of card but Christmas has to be my favourite. All that glitter and snowflakes, Santa's, Angels, gems etc I am just loving it.

Thank you for taking the time to visit me and for leaving such wonderful encouraging comments, I appreciate every single one.

Thankful

Hi again, I would like to show you this little card I made to say thank you to a friend who made me go out for lunch and some shopping the other day. Mind you I didn't need much persuading, I am now convinced she had an alternative motive, guess where we ended up ? yes my favourite craft store, now Jeanie is not into crafting but she kept asking - do you like this - do you like that - what would I do with that piece of equipment. I think she was sussing out what to get me for Christmas. Bless her!!! Anyway this little beauty is entering 2 challenges.

1. Incy Wincy Designs Challenge: This week there is a fab sketch from DT member Liz and an open theme.
2. Stamp Something Challenge: The theme this week is Thank You. A card or gift in fact whatever you like so long as it has thank you on it somewhere. My thank you is on the large flower.

Thank you for taking the time to visit me and thank you also for the lovely comments you leave me to read. They are very much appreciated.

Christmas is Golden

Good Morning Everyone, Posting my last project before going off to the land of nod. I've thoroughly enjoyed my crafting day today, finished 3 projects and one half done. I made this card for 9 challenges. This cute image is called Mrs Tilly Clause and she if a free download so that you can take part in the fab challenge over at Wendy's Digital Doodling. Why not pop over and have a look. I will give you full details of the challenge in the next paragraph. Here are the challenges that Mrs Tilly Clause is entering.

1. Wendy's Digital Doodling Challenge: You have to use Mrs Tilly Clause (Free Digital )
use a sketch from an existing challenge ( at the point you enter) and lastly anything that glitters.
I followed the sketch from Midnight Madness Sketch challenge below.
2. Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge MMSC 29: Another fantastic sketch from Priscilla and the DT work is outstanding once again. Don't know where these girls get their Mojo from but I want some.
3. Crafty Cartz Challenge: This week the theme is Celebrate, you must use the word celebrate somewhere on your project. I felt the outside of the card didn't warrant a sentiment, so I popped them inside.
4. Creative Card Crew Challenge: The brief this week is to use your Favourite Things. I have loads of favourite's but I do love a bit of sparkle and as it's nearing Xmas I seem to be using it more and more, so at the moment it's my favourite.
5. Papertake Weekly Challenge: This weeks theme is Christmas Cracker, it's a bit of an open challenge this week and the girls would like to see your fav Christmas Card.
6. Fab's Big Christmas Card Challenge: This week Fab is looking for some very Ladylike Christmas Cards. Well who could be more Ladylike than Mrs Clause.
7. Whimsy Stamps Challenge: This week the theme is Christmas. Whimsy are also running another challenge using one of their stamps which prizes to give away so pop on over there and find out the details.
8. Ooh-la-la Creations Challenge: The challenge for this fortnight is Monochrome, now that is usually classed as black and white, but you can use different shades of one colour, mine is Gold.
9. Allsorts Challenge: This week the theme is Christmas but with a little twist. You can choose a Carol or a Song theme to interpret your card, my song choice is Walking in a Winter Wonderland.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit me and for all your lovely comments that you leave me, I really appreciate every single one.

Flourish Calendar 2010

This is my entry into The Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge 59. The theme this week is to make a calendar. Most of this was made from card scraps and bits and pieces in my bits box.
I'm sure my friend will love it, she likes girly things with swirls and gems. Hope you all had a lovely day. Just a quickie for tonight because I want to finish my DT project for Thurs.

Poinsettia Card

Hi All, made this card for the Winter Wonderland Challenge which this week is quite an unusual challenge in that you cannot use a Christmas Stamp or Christmas backing paper. Mmm.. I thought, interesting. I bought a sheet of decoupage poinsettia a while back and forgot I had it, found it when I was having a tidy up last week. I used a 6x6 base red card and a sheet of green and white pattern paper which I edged using my MS border punch lace doily. I then added gross grain ribbon to finish it off. The sentiment came with the decoupage sheet. I quite like the finished card and I know it will suit one of my older relatives this Christmas.

Thank you for visiting I hope you all have a lovely week.

Christmas in Purple

Well it's the weekend and the weathear is dreadful, heavy rain and fierce winds. I've gotta pop out later and buy some new plates for my big shot, one of them snapped, mind you I've used it so much I suppose it had to happen sooner or later. I made this card for a few challenges and they are.
1. Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge (MMSC28): This week as well as the fab sketch we are being asked to make a Christmas Card.
2. Doodle Palace Challenge: This week the theme comes from Ann who wants us to make a Christmas Card using the colour Purple along with fuzzy ribbon if poss, buttons & snowflakes. Great challenge this week, thanks Ann.
3. Incy Wincy Designs Challenge: The theme this week is Purple and Christmas.
Again an unusual colour combo, but it works.
4. Crafty Creations Challenge: This is my first time joining in on this challenge but I enjoyed trying to incorporate it into this card. The theme this week is Metal/Metallic. I have used metallic back board to mount Tilda and metallic ribbon, of course the sentiment is metallic looking as well.

That's all from me just now - gotta go and get my plates, may even treat myself to some new papers or something. Hope the rest of the weekend is nice for you all.

Retro Lady

Good Morning, well it's 1.40am here and I've just finished this card for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge: MMSC27. I bought a set of three of these images a couple of weeks ago and thought I would use this one called Serenity. I've used the rose stamp that came with her to accent the corners. I didn't want to over decorate this card so have kept it quite simple but I think it's very striking with only three colours of Gold Black & Red. Thank you so much for popping in to visit me. I hope you will come back and see me soon.

Christmas Style Calendar

Hi Friends, Thought I would make something a little different today, think it has that Christmas feel, but can be used all year long because it is a calendar/wall hanging for 2010. The size is 20cm x 20cm so it's a nice size. Don't know about you, but I love decorating my home at this time of the year with sparkle, wreaths, tinsel etc, but hate taking them down. So I will hang it in my craft room and be reminded of Christmas every time I use it. I am going to enter her into 6 challenges and they are:

1. Crafting Life's Pieces Sketch Challenge: I just love visiting Chelsea at her blog, the creations she makes are just adorable, she is also the designer and maker of Gurlee Stamps, the stamps are all gorgeous and I've used Gurlee Girl Cocoa and followed the great sketch this week.
2. Sophisticats Challenge: This week is was the lovely Lyn's turn to pick the theme and she chose Wings. I have 6 little glitter butterflies on my project.
3. Cute Card Thursday Challenge: I just love the theme this week it's Glitter me Silly, ask no more there is plenty of glitter on my project. I just love it.
4. Fab's Big Christmas Challenge: I've only recently discovered Fabs blog but it's a lovely one, this week you have a choice of 3 or you can combine them all together. Diva, hanging card, wavy frame. Not sure if my entry will qualify as it's not strictly a card it's more of a gift. Anyway
Fab I'm sure you will let me know. I enjoyed joining in.
5. Creative Inspiration Challenge: This week the theme is New or Neglected. I have used my new DCWV paper stacks and my new ribbons.

Red White & Snowy Christmas

Hello Friends, I made this card to cover a few challenges. When I saw this lovely Santa from Digital Delights I just had to colour him in and use him for this project. There are so many wonderful challenges this week on my favourite season of the year, I just love Christmas, I've always loved it but even more so now that I have Grandchildren. I always made Christmas special for my own children but now can take the time to make it even more special for my Grandchildren, so all these lovely challenges that include snow, Santa, merry & bright etc etc are just up my street. I have made this card for 5 challenges, just the colour gets me in the Christmas mood, red white green glitter etc. So here are the challenges that Santa is entering:

1. Die Cut Dreams Challenge 22: The lovely vikki has come up with a great sketch this week and a theme as well of Snowy. I've followed the sketch and added snow tex under Santa's feet. Hope you and Susie like my effort.
2. Doodle Palace Challenge: Laura who won the challenge a couple of weeks ago has chosen the theme and it is a Red & White Christmas Card, you can follow her sketch if you wish but it's not necessary. Thank you for the theme it's just great.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 25 DT Card (Recipe )

Good Morning everyone, hope you are all having a fab week so far, This is my DT card for C.R.A.F.T. Challenge which this week has a recipe of 1 ribbon, 1 tag and 1 sentiment. A nice easy challenge, I chose to make another dent in my Christmas Card List and I wanted to keep the colours traditional as this will be going to an older relative who is quite traditional, bless her, she can't be doing with all this modern stuff "her words not mine". The paper is absolutely gorgeous, my daughter gave it to me as she had lots left over from last Christmas, I don't know the name but I know she got it from QVC I used glitter on the stars just to lift it and give it a bit of bling.

I love the image, it was a digital sheet bought from my local craft shop and I used 3 of my scallop nesties to give it some dimension. I cut the tag from a piece of white card, I used the same paper to cover it and printed the sentiment from my computer. The little snowmen on the inside are from Anitas Xmas collection.

Thank you so much for visiting, I do hope you will come and join us at C.R.A.F.T. Challenge this week. We are being sponsored this week by the lovely Donna's Den of Crafts and the prize is a gorgeous bundle of Christmas goodies.

Stamp Something For Jaimie

This card has been made specifically for Jaimie Cates and her Father who sadly lost his Wife and Jaimie her Mother to a senseless act of Random Violence in their own home. 4 Teenagers broke into the family home and killed Kim Cates and wounded little 11yr old Jaimie. Over at
Stamp Something Challenge Blog they have a challenge that invites you to make a card for Jaimie and her Father to show some love, which this child and her Father are going to need in abundance . The theme is 1 ribbon, 2 papers, 3 embellishments. I really can't say much more but as a Mother and Grandmother my heart goes out to this little girl and her Father who have a long road ahead of them without someone they loved very much. All the details of where to send your card are on the blog.

You can also enter your card into Stamp Something Spread the love for Jaimie blog.

Please Please, make a card for this little girl and help her in the healing process which should not be necessary at this time in her young life.

Thanks
