Hi Friends, Here is my card for the C.R.A.F.T. challenge this week

ShopHandmade, who is giving the winner a choice of 3 Digital images of their choice.

I have a busy day ahead of me, so this may be my only post today. I will probably be back later tonight to do some visiting and browsing. See you all later.

Hi Everyone,
This is my first DT card for the challenge over at Creative Inspirations this week which has a Sketch to follow from the lovely Maxine. Do pop over to see the other DT's gorgeous creations and the sketch. The prize this week comes from Peachy Keen Stamps (adorable stamps they are too) who have donated a $25.oo voucher to spend in their store.

I am also entering the card into Ooh la la Creations Challenge: this week it's Distressing.
I used scissors and chalk to distress the outer edge of the image, and chalks to distress the layers surrounding it.

Thank you for popping in to visit, hope you enjoyed your stay and that you'll come back and see me soon.

The Crafty Pad Challenge 55 - A Sketch.

Good Morning Everyone, hope you are all having a lovely weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a DT member this week, your creations were all fantastic with the animal theme last week, I had a great time visiting you all, and what a creative bunch you are. I've had loads of inspirational ideas from you all. This weeks challenge is a sketch by the lovely Maxine. I veered away from a card this week and decided to do something a little different, so I made a wall hanging out of a polystyrene pizza base. I made it for my Great Niece who will be 8 next week. I will be making her a card to go with it using the same colours etc.

I've used cute Roshell with her basket of flowers, available in digital or polymer over at The Crafty Pad just click on the link and pop over to join in the challenge and to see the other DT's gorgeous creations.
There is also a Tutorial on how I made my wall hanging. it is so simple to do. If I can do it anyone can.

Thank you so much for visiting, hope you enjoyed your stay and that you come back and see me again soon.

Craft Challenge DT Project - Red + Challenges

Good Morning, I hope you are all having a lovely start to your day. It's our regular day to pick up my twin Grandson's from school, play with them, feed them and keep them amused until 6.30pm, then my Daughter brings the oldest Grandson to us. They then all stay with Grandad whilst Janie and I attend night school, we are doing an IT course ( this is our third year) and we are doing really well, I don't think I would ever have blogged if I had not attended it.

Any way I digress, here is my project this week for C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 34 which this week is a colour theme of RED, you can do anything you choose but your project must be primarily RED.
Our sponsor this week is the lovely Donnas Den of Crafts so do pop over to C.R.A.F.T. to find out the details of the prize and of course to see the other DT's creations.

I've made a STASH CASH BOX, well that's what I'm calling it. As you know it was my birthday on Sunday and beside all the lovely crafting gifts I also received some cash and as I had some Christmas cash left over I decided to make a little box to keep my cash in, I will be adding to it weekly and spending it in March at the Big Craft Show in Glasgow. My Daughter Janie is also putting a weekly amount away in my box so that we can go together and have a fab day out.
That's why I've used the sentiment of Here Come The Girls!! look out craft show!!!

The chocolate toffee box in the bottom picture (emptied on Sun of it's contents) is the template I used to make the box, I've kept it and it will get used again and again so I'm recycling it over and over.

The challenges I'm entering are:
1. Die Cut Dreams Challenge: Recycling - hope my box counts
2. Passion for ProMarkers Challenge: Any colour this week with the theme of Girls, Girls Girls.
3. Quixotic Challenge: Ink up an old stamp. Which I have done.
4. Incy Wincy Designs Challenge: Colour me Wonderful - use your favourite medium.

School Days

Hello Friends, I made this card for my eldest Grandson who asked for a card for his new Teacher - so it fell in with a challenge over at Die Cut Dreams Challenge which this week is BACK TO SCHOOL, he hasn't actually gone back yet, the snow is still to deep and the school is scheduled to reopen on Monday. I'm sure his new Teacher will love it. The card also falls into the theme for the Cards for Men Challenge , which has the theme of NEW this month. New job, home etc.

I might be back later with another card, still stuck in because of the weather, so I am making the most of it and spending a considerable amount of time in my craft room.

Thanks for visiting I do hope you'll come back and see me again soon

DT Card CRAFT Challenge

This week over at CRAFT Challenge we are asking you to come out of your comfort zone just a little and try something new. Any project you wish to choose so long as it has a Resist Technique. I used glossy photo paper and my Bo Bunny (Aloha) stamped with Stazon black ink, allowing 15 - 20 minutes for it to dry. I then borrowed my grandsons crayola white crayon and coloured the petals of the flowers. Taking a piece of sponge and LLB burgundy ink I dabbed all over the surface allowing at least an hour to dry. Then using a paper towel I removed the ink from the petals. ( it won't dry on top of the wax crayon) I distressed the edges of the card with blue Portafolio ink. It's the first time I've used this technique so if I can do it, anyone can.

Our sponsor this week with a love prize is Your Special Delivery, so do come and join us this week

Thank you for popping in to see me I hope you'll come back for another visit soon.

Turn it Off - Candy

Samantha over at ABC Christmas Challenge has some Candy to give away for those turning off your Word Verification, there are a few rules to follow to be in with a chance of winning, but they are easy peasy, just click on the highlighted name or banner and follow them. I've already turned mine off and as a Member of a Design Team myself I find it so frustrating when commenting on the lovely creations entered that it takes twice as long because of the dreaded Word Verification.

Some challenge blogs are no longer commenting because of the time factor involved. So come on Guys n Gals. TURN IT OFF.

It's a Baby!!!

Hi Friends, hope you are all well and having a nice day, the weather here is still dreadful, the schools are still closed and the roads impassible, so I've been stuck indoors for the last 5 days, I've had a real tidy up of my craft room and believe it or not I've either thrown or recycled quite a few items. I would like to share my latest card with you made for a few challenges. This is such a beautiful stamp for a new baby card, so without further ado here are the challenges.

1. Inky Impressions Challenge: I've used their lovely sketch.
2. Stampin' for the Weekend Challenge: New beginnings
3. Fab n Funky Challenge: Any occasion
4. A spoon full of Sugar Challenge: Hearts
5. Cupcake Craft Challenge: Baby

1st Christmas Card 2010 + Challenges

Here is my first Christmas card for 2010 - Won't get caught out this year now that there are some new dedicated Christmas Challenge blogs starting this year. This card is for a few challenges so without further ado here they are.

1. ABC Christmas Challenge: This is ABC's first challenge and the spec is A = Angel but they have asked us to incorporate either a charm or beads, I've made a little hairband out of red, gold and green beads for my angel.
2. Sophisticat Challenge: The theme for this week is Fancy Borders, I've used my new EK swiss cheese punch on either side of my image.
3. Incy Wincy Designs Challenge: This week the theme is Bling it Up. I've used glamour dust on the angels wings, stars and snowflake.
4. Winter Wonderland Challenge: A colour scheme is this weeks challenge of Cinnamon, lime green and berry. I have two of the colours in my paper and for the Cinnamon I used my Cinnamon ProMarker to colour the string tied to the buttons. Hope that's okay girls.
5. The Crafty Pad Challenge: this is my second entry into the challenge which this week is to use buttons on your creation.
6. The Pink Elephant Challenge: This week there is a recipe to follow and because it's still so bitterly cold there is a winter theme to it, 2 Designer papers, 3 buttons and snowflakes.

Thank you so much for visiting, I hope you come back and see me soon.

Friends + Challenges

First time I've used this image from Sassy Studio designs, she is quite striking and thought her ideal for a friendship card. I adore the sentiment that I won from a challenge over at Simon Says and I wanted to highlight it along with the image. We are still having really bad weather here in Scotland, at the moment it's -9 and the roads are very treacherous with black ice. So for the moment I'm going nowhere.

These are the challenges that I'm entering:

1. Sassy Susie's Challenge: The theme is Friends Old and New.
2. The Crafty Pad Challenge: This week Debbie would like to see us use Buttons.
2, Pile it On Challenge: There are two chaollenges going on this week, 1 is Digital and 2 is anything Clear. You can join in on one or both, your choice.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you enjoy browsing my little domain.

Little Miss Demure

Hi Friends, A Happy New Year to you all, I hope you have a very Happy,Healthy and Peaceful one. I want to share this card with you. I made it for Charisma Cardz Challenge 1st Birthday Blog Hop, which I must say was great fun and very inspiring visiting the Design Team and all of their wonderful creations. The them for the challenge this week is Celebration. Do pop over and join in the fun. Lots and lots of super prizes to be won (15 in total) and the DT have prizes too.

I am also entering into the Moving along with the Times Challenge: The theme this week is to use one of their sketches from 2009. I chose their very first sketch from the first challenge in June. Again some lovely DT work is on offer for you view.

Last but not least is the lovely challenge over at La La Land Crafts Challenge: This week they are looking for charms. I made my little charm from an old bracelet which I've taken apart to use in future projects.
