C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 44. Purple & Turquoise

Good Morning everyone, hope you are all having a good day so far. It's time for another challenge over at C.R.A.F.T. and this week the theme is Purple & Turquoise. I've not used a stamp this week, instead I used one of the lovely images from the candy I won over at Creative Cottage, I received 4 beautiful packs, one of the packs was called Fairy Wishes, this is just one of the images, isn't she adorable.

Our Sponsor this week is the lovely Donna from Donnas Den who is giving one lucky winner the fab prize below. Do pop over and see the other wonderful creations that the DT have conjured up for you. They are all fab.

Thank you so much for visiting. Pop back and see me soon.

Vintage & Distressed + challenges

Hello All, Well I'm certainly not venturing out today, there is a severe weather warning for Scotland. A lot of roads are closed and there's thousands without electricity due the heavy snowfall last night and the gale force winds. Trees are down and my gazebo has disappeared. It's probably in a field somewhere. LOL!!

Nothing else to do but craft (not that I'm complaining) So I made this card today for a few challenges, I've used the wonderful butterfly and sentiment image from The Crafty Pad, I'm so loving them. I've made a hexagon shaped card which I think is very Victorian and a real lace doily which I've distressed with pink and green Plaid chalks, quite effective I think. The butterflies have been coloured with ProMarkers and then a splash of gold glitter added. I made the little spray of flowers just to top it all off. I'm quite pleased with the result.

The challenges are:

1. Simon Says Challenge: Distressing, I'm hoping this qualifies, I don't have any Tim Holtz items as yet, something I really need to get into, need to see if I can find a class.

2. Passion for ProMarkers Challenge: Would like to see two images, I've used 3 butterfly images.

3. Papertake Weekly Challenge: has an open theme this week

4. Digital Tuesday Challenge: would like you to use SCRAPS. I've used scrap paper which has been in my drawer for a few weeks, and the doily I bought ages ago and wasn't sure how to use it

5. Creative Card Crew Challenge: Would like to see Vintage this week
6. Allsorts Challenge: Would like to see either Altered or Recycled. My roses, leaf and berry are from an old Christmas Decoration. So I've recycled it.

7. Cute Card Thursday Challenge: Would like a lot of Dimensions on your project. I think the butterflies, doily and flowers give great dimension to my card.
8. A Spoon full of Sugar Challenge: Are looking for a shaped card, no square cards allowed.

9. Stamptacular Sunday Challenge: Are looking for Flowers this week

10. Crafts & Me Challenge: This is their first challenge and are looking for Wings. Do pop over and support them. The design team have some fab eye candy, and my friend Gina and fellow DT member is now one of their design team.

Thank you all so much for visiting, hope you'll come back and see me soon.

Daughters Birthday Card

Hi again folks, I said I would be back today and here I am with the Birthday cards I've
created for my Daughter (Janie) who will be celebrating on Thursday the 1st April. She loves vintage style cards, but not the old fashioned images, so I've done my best to give this a vintage feel with a modern twist. I think she will like it. The papers were just plain brown and white and I used the same colour of ProMarker as Willows coat to colour in the inside of the flowers.
I think it worked quite well.

I made up the little bouquet of flowers into a spray from odd pieces of flowers, petals and pearls and used stickles to give a bit of glitter. I think it's lovely. Pearls and the lovely pleated chocolate ribbon just finishes the whole thing off. The sentiment I created on my computer.

Thanks for visiting, hope you come back and see me soon.

Hugs Suzi xx

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

1. Stamptacular Sunday Challenge: This week the theme is Flowers and I must say I am so glad that they are now allowing the combining of challenges. Do pop over and have a look at the new items they are introducing into the blog. Very exciting stuff indeed.

2. One Stitch at a Time Challenge: This week the theme is Vintage and stitchy are also having an Easter Egg hunt. Which I am going to try and join in if time permits. Oops!! looks like I was too late for this challenge. !!!

3. Prairie Fairy Friday Challenge: This week the theme is to make an Easel Card. I was very fortunate to be in the top spot last week and will be joining Roberta and the wonderful DT this week as a Guest Designer. How exciting is that. I've already made my card, but you will have to wait until Friday.

The Crafty Pad Challenge - British Summer time

Good Morning (Afternoon)!!! I am still on 11.30 am and the real time is 12.30 am. I forgot that it is now officially British Summer Time and the clocks should have gone forward by one hour.
Duh!!! I'm not having a senior moment! I've been stuck in the house now since Wednesday with this horrible flu virus and have lost all track of day and time.

What I want to know is where did spring go, we haven't seen it yet, never mind Summer time?.

This week over at The Crafty Pad Challenge we have based our theme this week on that subject along with it being Palm Sunday too. We would like you to use the colours of
Green,Yellow and Orange in your creation. The prize this week is a 1 week guest designer spot and you will be using the same image as the DT.

I've made 4 simple napkin holders for my project this week, staring off with the inner tube of kitchen paper. Cut it into 4 equal sections and decorate as you wish. It's that simple. I used MS double sided lacy doily punch to give them a nice finish, and of course Debbie's beautiful butterfly to give them some dimension. These will actually be used next Sunday as my Son & DIL Theresa will be coming to me for Easter lunch. I will be making a decoration using the same colours and butterfly for the centre of the table. I'll post it on when I've finished it.

Hoping you all have a wonderful Sunday, thanks for popping by.

Good Morning, I'd like to show you my DT card for the challenge this week over at
One Stop Crafts, the theme was chosen by Shelley and she's decided on
"Feeling Fruity" (colours or images) I had to search my archives for the cherry paper,
but eventually found it. The image is of course the lovely Tilda who has
cherries on her pretty frock.

I haven't added a sentiment yet, not sure who will be receiving her.

Do pop over and see the other wonderful creation my friends on the DT have come up with, they are all fantastic as usual. The prize this week is a 2 week Guest designer spot for the lucky winner. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Thank you for popping by. Hugs Suzi xx

Hi Friends, well I'm feeling slightly better this afternoon, though still very head-achy and achy. Managed to get this little cutie done though. I'd started it on Wednesday for a few challenges and got round to finishing it about an hour ago. The weather here is atrocious, heavy rain, strong winds and cold. C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 42 - Easter

Good Morning All, I didn't post at all yesterday, woke up with the dreaded lurgi!!! headache, runny nose, aching body. I spent most of the day snuggles up on the settee with my duvet.
Dozing myself with lemsips, honey and aspirin. It's 1.30 am and now I can't sleep !!!!! so I'm doing my post then having a cup of horlicks and back to bed.

Today is a new challenge over at C.R.A.F.T. and the theme this week is EASTER. I made my younger Grandchildren little sweetie holders ( previous post) but I have a 13yr old Grandson who doesn't like sweets or chocolate, so I've made him a little Easter wallet rather than just hand him money. I didn't want to make it too fancy cause he's a boys boy so I've stuck to blues and greens. I couldn't resist the little bunny though, he was a freebie from the lovely coco.

Our sponsor this week is the fab Craft Obsessions who are giving you the chance to choose
6 ProMarkers in your own choice of colours. How fab is that. Do pop over and take a look at their extensive range of crafting goodies. They are now stocking Magnolia stamps and even have the Magnolia Magazine on a special introductory price.

Thank you so much for visiting. Do pop over to CRAFT Challenge and see the other lovely creations my friends and DT members have designed.

Hugs Suzi xx

I'm entering this little wallet into the following challenges:

1. Lexi's Creations Challenge: This week the theme is Easter
2. Pile it on Challenge: This week the theme is Furry Friends
3. Our Creative Corner Challenge: Have a theme of Easter this week

Tellen's Place Challenge

Oh my!! I nearly forgot about Terry's challenge over at Tellen's Place. I've supported and been a big fan of this blog since it's conception. Think I've only missed 1 challenge. Love her lovely Son's digital doodling's, a very talented young man. This week it is vital to use one of Marcus's images in your creation, but don't fret, Terry very generously gives away lots of lovely free digitals and this week is not exception. The theme is Spring is in the Air.

I've used Promarkers to colour the image, the papers are the new design from Wild Rose Studio called Milton & Co. My two MS punches make up the other elements, the double sided lace doily punch and the small flower punch. I just added some lovely green gems to them. The sentiment is from my computer.

You still have time to enter this weeks challenge and to get your free digi, just click on the link and hey presto you're there.

Hi again, I said yesterday I would be back with one of the Images I won over at the Prairie Fairy in last weeks challenge, isn't she the cutest mouse you have ever seen. Sketch & Stash (I followed the sketch) - Pile it on (furry friends) - Crafty Creations (spots n dots) - Oh la la (buttons, bows, bling) Fab n Funky (something new)

The new items I've used on my card are: flower soft, x cut scallop punch,
sentiment from just rite. My bling is the little diamond hearts on the sentiment.

I hope you like my card, I can't wait to colour up the other images I won.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

Wow! 2nd post today, think I'm on a roll, it's very windy and rainy here today, so nothing else for it but to stay in my craft room and play. I've made this card for the
Stamptacular Sunday challenge who have the theme of Make a Scene. I've used my chalks to make it look like she is in a meadow having a picnic. I found this little cute while cataloging my stamps and trying to get them into some kind of order (impossible) even though I've only been stamping about 9 months I seem to have accumulated an awful lot. I can't remember her name or who designed her ( any suggestions would be appreciated).

I hope you all have a lovely day and that the sun is shining where ever you are.

Sweet Willow + challenges

Hi All, Hope you are all off to a nice week ahead. I want to show you my latest card. This is the first time I've used this image, I bought it at the craft show a couple of weeks ago, I love WOJ stamps and would have bought a lot more but they only had 4, so I had to content myself with them. All gorgeous mind you. I followed the theme from WOJ challenge this week which is an easel card, the colours came from Prairie Fairy, a variation of Red and green I chose pink & lime and it was fantastic that it matched in with the challenge over at Creative Craft World which is to use Promarkers as your colour medium.

I'm really pleased with how it turned out, it's going to a very dear friends teenage Daughter. I'm sure she will love it.

Just to recap on the challenges, they are as follows:

1. Whiff of Joy Challenge
: This week the theme is an Easel card

2. Prairie Fairy Friday Challenge: Colour theme this week, you really need to pop over and choose the colour you would like to do.

3. Creative Craft World Challenge: Use ProMarkers on your project. There is a fab offer on Promarkers over at the store - a real bargain - go have a look.

Creative Inspirations Challenge - Anything but a Card

Good Morning Everyone, It's time for another challenge over at Creative Inspirations and this week the theme has been chosen by the lovely Tracy. She would like you to make anything but a card. Could be a Gift bag, wall hanging, picture holder, mini book etc.

I decided to go with two little sweet holders as my Daughter has an Easter treasure hunt every year for the children. No just handing over eggs in her house, oh no, you have to have fun first.
She gives the children clues to where their goodies are hidden and off the 4 of them go with a lot of noise and excitement. Well it's hard to amuse a 15, 13 and twin 5 year old's at the same time.
These little goodie bags will be joining her collection this year and a few more when I finish them.

Our sponsor this week is Heather from Faerie Song Art Stamps. There is a wonderful selection to choose from so the winner is in for a real treat. Many thanks Heather.

Gift Certificate of $25.00 + Free Shipping.

I am also entering these little creations into the following challenges:
1. Prairie Fairy Friday Challenge: this week there is a choice of colour themes to follow, I chose Purple and yellow. The Crafty Pad Challenge: Recipe

Good Morning and Happy Mothers Day to all the Mums everywhere , I hope you have a wonderful day and get spoiled rotten. This is my DT project this week for the Challenge over at The Crafty Pad

I will be giving this to my Daughter when she comes to see me later. It's just a wee thank you for all the wonderful things she does for me. Don't know where I'd be without her. Amazing how many chocolates you can get into an A6 Cello bag. Just as well it's been sealed!!!!!

Our theme this week is a nice easy one. We would like you to use at least 1 oval and two ribbons on your project this week. I am sure we will be inundated with entries. I enjoyed visiting with you all last week, such talent out there.

I've used Roshell & Chick as my image (available on digital and clear stamp) from The Crafty Pad. I wanted to make it nice and bright and cheerful and the pocket full of posies card stock was ideal for the shape as it stands quite firmly. I've used my crop a dile for the first time to keep the flap closed and just threaded ribbon through and tied it.

Our Sponsor this week is Creative Craft World who have a fab selection of crafting goodies over there in store. There is even a special offer on Prima flowers - buy 3packs and get the
4th one free. The prize this week is some of those delicious flowers.

That's all for me for now but I will probably be back later with something else.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Hugs Suzi xx

Other Challenges this qualifies for are:

1 Creative Craft Challenge: This week is Thanks a Bunch.
2. Creative Inspirations Challenge: This week would like to see Charms.
3. The Creative Cottage Challenge: This is the very 1st challenge, the theme is NEW, either a new product or baby, job etc. Do pop over and support the girls on their hard work and I wish them all the luck in the world for the new venture. Anyone for Ice Cream. !!!!

Oh I've had fun yesterday and today altering my ice cream tub. I used these beautiful butterfly's for the first time last week and fell in love with them. They are available from The Crafty Pad and they come with the verse. I needed a gift box to hold my Daughters Birthday gift for the 1st of April (poor thing!!! well I couldn't hold on any longer lol) I decided to alter something already in my stash cupboard. I'm really pleased with the result. I'm delighted how the central flower turned out cause it was quite tricky to make.

The only thing I didn't like about it when it was finished was the wax inner rim, so I got my trusty sandpaper nail file out and filed it till it was slightly fluffy, then chalked it with pebbles inc glitter chalk. Perfect. I didn't want to use a birthday greeting because she is very like me and will want to use it to keep bits and bobs in. Anyway her card (not done yet) will be a matching one and that will have a Birthday sentiment on it.

You can find my tutorial on how I achieved this at The Crafty Pad Challenge Blog HERE

This falls into the category for quite a few challenges, so in no particular order here they are.

1. A Spoon full of Sugar Challenge: would like to see recycling used on your project.
2. La la Land

One Stop Craft Challenge - Dots n Spots

Morning All, hope you are all having a lovely weekend. I am definitely going to have a great weekend because I'm not working !! YIPPEE. It's the first weekend I've had off in a long time, must be at least 6 months. I'm gonna chill out with a nice meal and a bottle of wine.

Today we see another fab challenge over at One Stop Crafts and this week it was Nikki's turn to choose the theme, and she has chosen Dots and Spots. I've gone with brown and pink as my main colours, guess you all know I love Brown and any other colour. I've used a few new items on my card that I treated myself too at the big Craft Show in Glasgow last weekend.

Pop over and join us in the challenge and take a peek at the other DT members gorgeous creations. This weeks prize will be a Guest Designer spot for 2 weeks.

My Daughter and I had a great day out, spent too much money, but hey ho it's only twice a year.
The new items are in my recipe at the bottom of the post.

Hugs Suzi xx
