The Teacup Fairy + Challenges

Hi All, I managed to find a little time to create a card for a few challenges now that all this weeks DT cards are in the bag so to speak. This little image was a very lovely gift from CJ over at Cowgirl up Stamps (thank you sweetie she is adorable) she is The Teacup Fairy and I've used my promarkers to colour her. I took inspiration from 4 challenge blogs to get to the finished result, they are the challenges I am entering.

1. Cowgirl's Sunday Stampen' Challenge: The theme this week is a Colour Pallet and a Shape , I've taken a little creative liberty with the shape, but all the colours are there. The shape is my first ever circle cut with a MS corner punch, it looks quite effective.

2. Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Gave me the insight for my DP, they would like to see Checks this week, (tartan, plaids etc)

3. The Pixie Cottage Challenge: Gave me a lovely Sketch to follow.

4. Magical Crafts (fornightly) challenge: Gave me a reason to add all the Flowers cause that's their theme this week, Flower Power.

Thanks for popping in to see me, hope you enjoyed your visit, and I'll see you all in the morning with my 1st DT card this week for C.R.A.F.T. Challenge.

WOYWW

Good Morning, well what's on my workspace today, "a mess" I stopped creating at 1.30 am
this morning. I have 4 DT projects on the go for this week, all the images are coloured and this was me trying to match up the paper for them. The purple card is almost complete, just the image and a few bits to add. The other papers are from my blue scrap drawers to the left, I'm trying to use them up before opening my new ones.

The second picture is just to the right of my workspace - one tilda card finished, the Koko chocolate box (its empty - and no I didn't eat them Promise!! ) my neighbour saves all her empty choccie and biscuit boxes for me. This one is waiting to be altered. There is a roses tin behind it, but that's been there since Xmas. It holds my crimper and a few bits and bobs.

That's all from me this week, don't forget to check out Julia's blog - the instigator of this lovely nonsense. hehehe!!

See you all next Wednesday.

Baby Boy's Birthday + Challenges

Well am I on a roll, I've been crafting all day, their is no Sun today, it's muggy and overcast so I've stayed indoors apart from popping out to feed the fish in the pond, and I will go out later and water the veggies and greenhouses.

But for now I would like to share my other Baby Easel Card, ( see post below for pink baby easel card ) I've used a Sugar Nellie stamp, his name is Callum and this is for a few challenges. I used my promarkers to colour him. The recipe for the papers etc are all below this post.

Oh! I can see the sun, it's popped it's head out of the clouds, so as soon as I finish this post I'm off outside to sit and chill out with a glass of wine. I'd better hurry in case it decides to disappear.

See you all tomorrow, or maybe later tonight.

The Crafty Pad Challenge - Embossing

Hello my dears, It's time for another fab challenge over at The Crafty Pad, this week we would love to see your embossing skills - it can be dry, heat or liquid embossing, whatever takes your fancy. I've triple embossed my cupcakes using Rangers bridal embossing powder and for the cherry I've used Tulip glitter fabric paint. The image is from Debbie's cupcake selection of digital images which are available here on digital format or polymer format. I made a simple cupcake box as an extra little something to accompany the card.

Our sponsor this week is the fab Crafty Sentiments who have a wonderful selection of stamps available in their on line store. This adorable little stamp called Amy Spring is what one lucky random winner will receive.

I hope you will pop over and join us this week and to take a look at what my friends on the DT have created for you this week.

Creative Inspirations Challenge 37 - Paper Piecing

Good Morning Dears, I hope you are having a lovely weekend, over at Creative Inspirations today we have a brand new challenge and it was my turn to choose the theme. I've opted for Paper Piecing, it's one of my favourite techniques but I don't do it often enough.

I've gone with my Belles & Whistles Sisters stamp and used promarkers for the skin and then paper pieced the blouses, trousers and the little hat using the same papers as I've used for the main card. I've even pieced the little patches on their trousers in a different paper. I think it looks good. The flowers are marianne's creatabilities cut from the same paper and sprayed with crafters companion iridescent spray & sparkle. The swirl die is from mariannes creatabilities too and is cut using DCWV textured card. The full recipe is below this post.

Our Sponsor this week is the lovely Debbie from The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs and she is giving you the chance of winning some of her wonderful images. Do pop over and take a peek you won't be disappointed. Just click on the picture below to take you there.

Baby's 1st Birthday - with a twist

Good Morning again my lovelies, This is my second post and I'm showing you the card that I made following Marlene's sketch over at The Sugar Bowl Challenge. Now my title says that this is baby's 1st Birthday - with a twist. Well the twist is that this adorable Sugar Nellie stamp is actually called Callum!!! (my Grandsons name). I needed a card for a little girls 1st Birthday and all my stamps were either for a new baby or just too grown up. I thought Callum was ideal.

I know she is wearing a baseball cap, but I think it makes her look like a little tomboy. I love the finished look thanks to the sketch and the theme of Girly & Feminine.

I am also entering her into Stamptacular Sunday challenge which has a theme of Cute as a Bug, and if you make a card for a baby then you will be entered into the draw twice.

She looks as if she is having a rare old time. I coloured her with my promarkers and used glamour dust for her skull cap. The rest of the recipe is below this post.

I bought some of the Crafters Companion Spray & Sparkle, I love it!!! it gives a great effect to papers and flowers etc. I've used it on the nesti behind Lou, I had to go in quite close with the camera to let you see the effect which means Lou has lost some of her skin tone, but the first piccie shows her quite clearly.

WOYWW - Work in Progress

Morning Girls, well no new goodies this week on my desk, lots of projects in progress though. Last week I asked you to guess what the brass bell was used for, you can just see the top of it behind the grey daylight lamp. Some of you got it spot on. I indeed use it if I want a cup of tea, my dear hubby was fed up with me shouting at the top of my lungs for him to put the kettle on. So I bought this in a charity shop. Now don't get me wrong, I don't ring it constantly!!! maybe twice throughout the day. Well that's all from me for this week.

Here is a card I made using my new Anya stamp and some of my new flowers and die cuts.

See you all next Wednesday.

Ahoy there Matey!!

Hi again friends, well this is my second post today, I've been working on this little creation for a couple of days now for the Simon Says Challenge. I thought doing a pirate card would be easy peasy especially as I had the images. How silly am I. I didn't have any pirate papers or stash of any form for it.

But never say die me hearties!! I wanted to do blue and yellow as this is for a wee boy from a wee girl. So I coloured the images with my promarkers, then started searching for the paper, I came across a fragment of claire curd yellow signature paper I bought when it was released early in 2009. I'm so grateful for my scrap stash box. The sentiments were easy, I printed them off the computer and then with a ticket stamp (I removed the saying on the inside) I stamped round the words.

Now for some embellishments, Mm..... so this morning I went into Microsoft word and downloaded a couple of clip arts, I coloured the blue chest with promarkers and the little yellow one came already coloured. The boat I made on the computer using shapes and the colour pallet in word. Hey Presto!! I had it done. I'm quite pleased with the result and I'm sure that Stuart will love it.

I am entering it into two challenges and they are:

1. Simon Says Challenge: this week it is a Pirate theme and if you are struggling like me with the theme then pop over to Martine's blog, she has created some lovely papers and embellishments to help you with the challenge. I had nearly finished mine, but I've downloaded them anyway, they are fabulous.

2. Paperplay Challenge: Are looking for Something Old this week, my paper is over a year old.

Thank you so much for popping in to see me, please leave me a comment to let me know you visited.

The post man arrived about an hour ago with a package for me and then Parcel force arrived 5 mins later with another couple of packages. This is some of what was inside them, I couldn't get the rest on my desk, I might take another photo later.

I treated myself over the weekend and it all arrived this morning. My new papers are adorable, I love Wild Orchid flowers, no I have more!!! a couple of new stamps, and lots of Marianne's creatable dies. I can't wait to play!! but that won't happen till much later - I have my sweet Grandsons to
day, I'm picking them up from school and then we are going to bake fairy cakes and choc chip cookies. Pop to the park for a while and then dinner.

So I won't get playing until Mum picks them up at 7.30pm.

I'm linking this to the lovely Julia over at Stamping Ground, she started all this (bet she didn't know just how popular it would become)

Bye for now - off to get the twins.

The Crafty Pad Challenge 75 - Paper Piecing

Hello my dears, well I'm back with another DT card for the day. It's for the Challenge this week over at The Crafty Pad which is Paper Piecing. This is the first time I've ever used this method on a digital image, and it turned out a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. Especially with Debbie's new cupcake ready to print decoupage images.
Excuse the pun - but it was a piece of cake!!!

Our Sponsor this week is the lovely Lou from
and she has a wonderful prize for one very lucky random winner. Take a look at these.
Lou stocks a fab variety of crafting goodies in her store, so pop over and take a peek, just click on the above banner.

I have even more good new for you. Debbie has some fantastic newly released images for you to view NOW. There is a Ladies Selection, with some beautiful shoes, slippers, vintage boots and a dreamy hat. Also Lenni the Lion and Ella the efalump, they are all available in digital form only at the moment, but watch this space I'm sure they will be available in polymer very soon.
Just click on this adorable image to take you to The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs.

I think that's all from me for now, do have a lovely day everyone and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
