Good Morning my Dears,  Well I'm back from my lovely relaxing holiday in the Sun and what a fab time it was too.  We flew into Prestwick Airport yesterday (on the west coast of Scotland) to gale force winds and torrential rain. YUK!!  I can't believe how cold it's become in a week.

Anyway it's early Sunday morning, It's time for another wonderful challenge over at Creative Inspirations and this fortnight it's my turn to pick the theme and I've chosen Glitter,Glamour and Girly for you.  I've used sweet Tilda with her little brolly and wellies, ideal for this time of the year and as we know Tilda is always Glamourous.  I've glittered all around the edges of the little brolly and used Pro Markers as my medium.  The full recipe for the card is below this post.

We have 2 sponsors for this fortnightly challenge, Keith from Fantastic Ribbons who is giving one lucky winner a selection of 15 rolls of ribbon to add to their stash.  I will be seeing Keith later on this morning because after posting this I'm off to the SECC in Glasgow to the huge Craft Fair where Keith will be displaying his many fantastic ribbons, button, etc etc.  Do please click on the link above to see the wonderful offers that Keith has in his store.

Good Morning my Dears,  Hopefully this will be my third schedule post this week.  I'm on a weeks holiday on the sunny island of Majorca.  At least I hope it's sunny,  I'll let you know on my return.

It's Wednesday which means it's time for another wonderful challenge over at

The Pixie Cottage.

This week we have a wonderful sketch and the option of using Metal somewhere on your creation.  You can of course choose the sketch or option for your creation or do both.  The choice is yours.  I've chosen to go with the metal option this week and I've used the adorable rubber stamp Smiles the Bear with his Cupcake by Alisa Ramirez. I used Pro Markers as my medium.

Both the Flowers are a couple of  MS punches.  I used my making memories Tag Curler for the
Metal Thank you sentiment and the ribbon was from my stash.

The papers were a gift from my Daughter and she cannot remember the name or maker. I used my new Marianne doily circle behind the image. The image was cut out using the small circle nestie.

Do remember that in entering the challenge you have the chance to win 2 rubber stamps of your choice from The Pixie Cottage's vast selection which you can see HERE.   It's not necessary to use a Pixie Cottage Stamp but if you have one we would love to see it.

This coming Sunday the 31st we are having a BLOG HOP to highlight all the wonderful new Digital Images that have been launched.  Do come over and join us, wait till you see the wonderful creations the DT have been working on just for you.  I won't tell you anymore because it would spoil the surprise.  So come and join us on Sunday and find out just what's happening.

Totally Tilda Challenge #7

Hello my Dears,  I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.  I decided this morning to have a bit of a tidy up and a reshuffle of my craft room ( wish I'd never started!!!) lol.  I have been at it since lunch time, it's now 5.45pm and it's still not finished.

Mind you I keep getting distracted with things that I'm finding, like images put into a folder to colour and forgetting they are there.  I bought this stamp along with a few other new Tilda's  last week,  inked them up as soon as they came put them in the folder to colour them later that day, I think I must have gotten distracted with something else cause they were forgotten about.

I decided to colour this adorable Brotherly Love with Pro markers and make the card for the Totally Tilda Challenge.  The theme this time round is Traditionally Red and Green and there is still plenty of time to enter but as I am off to a sunnier climate for a relaxing week on Friday I thought I'd better do it now.

I've used K&Co papers along with DCWV Christmas stack, my little icicles at the bottom are individually cut out from my new craft concept folder and glittered with glamour dust, I think it looks quite effective. The poinsettias are the small and large dies from Marianne D.  The sentiment I made myself on my computer and printed a few out.

Thank you so much for popping in to see me.  I'll catch you all later, I'm now going back to finish off my tidying up.!!!

What Fun I've Had!!!

Hi Everyone, Well I've had some fun this morning playing at trying to make something totally different from my usual format.  It's my quirky but lovely friends Birthday soon and I bought a little gift box to hold the bracelet I've bought her.  But the box was awfully plain dark blue and I wanted to shoos it up a bit.   I started off with my sanding block and tried to get as much of the colour off as I could, I then went over it with TH brushed corduroy distress ink.

I had bought some spellbinders Timeless Heritage dies a while back when I bought my TH Compendium of Curiosities book so I thought I would use the heart padlock and key for the the first time,  it's also my first time using Grunge paper,  in fact everything to do with this project is a first time for everything.

I started off with perfect pearls blue on the heart and then embossed with TH distress powder (vintage photo)  once it had dried I sanded both the heart padlock and the key and it looks like old rusted metal.  I sanded the mini metal photo frame and used china blue and firebrick red distress inks on it.    I used my big bite and added some eyelets which have been sanded as well.  Added a little metal heart to the end eyelet and now I have a much more interesting box to give to my friend.  I hope you like it.
I am entering it into the Following Challenges:

1.  Simon Says Stamp Show Challenge:  This week the theme is show us your METAL

2. Incy Wincy Designs Challenge:  Who are looking for anything Faux this week, leather, metal etc.
Thanks for popping in to visit, please leave me a few words to let me know you were here.
