Pretty in Green + challenges

Hello my Dears,  I wanted to show you another of the sweet Adorable images that I love so much.

Her name is Faith and she is a Sugar Nellie image. This one is not digital it is a rubber stamp from Funky Kits.

She has been stamped onto a square spellbinders nesti and coloured with pro markers. I've used a Magnolia doohickey lace doily die and a Marianne D corner die.  Papers are from MME Ooh La la range, they have been machine stitched onto dcwv card. I love these papers but I'm quickly running out of them, not sure if they even make this range anymore. I'll need to go and have a browse.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts,  Sentiment is from LOTV.

Creative Inspirations #56 Mothers Day/Mum/Mom

Good Morning my Lovelies,  Well!! the garden is tidy and all my bedding plants are in the ground but oh my goodness to what cost.  I don't know which part of my body doesn't ache!! lol, that will teach me to go at it hammer and tongs.

Anyhoo, It's Sunday and here in the UK it's Mothering Sunday next week so for our bi-weekly challenge over at Creative Inspirations we are asking you for a Mothers Day card/gift/project.

I've never made a clean and simple card before!!!  and even with this one I'm not sure it's as CAS as it should be, still had to add Lace, ribbon, Tulle and a pretty brad. 

This card will sit on my side table along with a sweet bunch of Tulips for my Mum who sadly I lost 46 years ago. It's just my way of trying to remember the short time we had together.

I used a beautiful digital image that I received from the lovely Eiglas a long time ago. You can see all Ei's lovely creations here, including some of her amazing papers too.  I printed it off twice and coloured it with pro markers, lay the first one down on the card and cut out the second which has been heat embossed twice with clear powder and then placed on top to give it that raised effect. Sadly the camera didn't pick up the shiny glossy effect.   I used my score board to go around the outside of the card and added the few bits and pieces to it.  I'm sure my Mum would have loved it as Tulips were her fav flowers.

Adorable Hope + Challenges

Hello My Dears,  I hope you are all having a lovely weekend,  I've been in and out of the garden most of the day, tidying up and planting up my borders,  I came indoors to ease the aches and pains in these aged bones and have managed to create this sweet card for a few challenges. 

I used the beautiful image  Hope from Sugar Nellie and coloured her with my Pro markers.  Isn't she adorable.  My papers are from first edition, love letters, my pink Jute ribbon border is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts and my flower is hand made with crinoline, pink netting and pink organza.  I followed the tutorial over at Linda (the funky junkie) where I also purchased my crinoline and vintage binding that the bow is made of.  The full recipe for my card is below this post.

Prairie Fairy Fun Friday #49 - Oh So Spring! Dt card

Good Afternoon my Dears,  Well it's Friday 'Yippee'!!!  a triple whammy,  it's the weekend, I'm not working and we have a brand new challenge for the next 2 weeks over at Fairy Fun Friday.

This week it's Princess Christine who is hosting the challenge for the first time and she has chosen the theme of  "Oh So Spring"   We want to see all your lovely Spring Creations, this can be anything you like, an altered piece, card, layout etc etc.  The Princesses over on the DT have as always created a fantastic selection of projects to enthuse and motivate you, so please do pop over and give them some love.

I've used the Sweet Chic's image available from Prairie Fairy Designs,  which comes to you in png format and you get an uncoloured and a coloured version for quickness all for the fabulous price of $3.00CD.  Now that's amazing.

I coloured my image with Pro markers, my green open weave ribbon is from Bunny Zoe's crafts and my flowers are a mixture of Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts, Pearls are MME and the sentiment is from TLC.

Papers are from K&Co Tim Coffey's design.

First handmade ribbon Rose + Challenges

Good Morning Lovely Peeps,  It's a lovely Sunny Day here in Scotland and after posting this I'm off out into the garden to do some tidying up.  From my window in front of me I can see the buds on my cherry blossom tree and all the lovely crocus and miniature daffodils, but I can see some weeds too, so they have to go and as I'm so unsure of the weather it's best to do it now.

I wanted to show you my first ever coloured  lotv stamp.  I've had these stamps for ages, in fact since the launch before the new spring stamps came out and this is the first time I've been able to ink one of them up and colour her.  Oh but she is adorable.  I used Pro markers and glamour dust on her wings and mounted her onto a Nesti scalloped die. I used my new MS large border punch (Garden Gate) behind her and my craft concept embossing folder fluterbys which I've distress with TH inks and a little glitter.  My papers are from MME spring collection

The card has been machine stitched around the edges and on the mounting square behind the sweet fairy.

I watched the video tutorial over at Reasonable Ribbons on how to make one of these super Ribbon Roses, and I must admit I am really quite pleased with it.  I added stickles to give it a bit of a glitzy look. The rest of my recipe is below this post.

Easter/Spring Tilda's Altered 3d Picture..

Good Morning All,  Today I wanted to show you my altered 3d picture frame that was hanging on my kitchen wall.  I was actually going to bin it and then a couple of Challenge Blogs were asking for either altered items or encouraging you not to bin it but reuse it.  So I set to work on it.  You can see from the 2nd photo that it was pretty basic. 

I ripped it apart, painted it with white acrylic paint.,  I tried to make a scene using TH distress inks ( Forest Moss & Broken China) to the inside frame and the back inside cover.

I then set about stamping my images, I've used 3 Tilda's and one tree stump and bench stamp. all coloured with Pro markers.. Martha Stewart large punch made the little fence which I then distressed with TH brushed corduroy ink.

I hand cut the little flower pot on the right and yes that was distressed too. I wrapped green thread around it and used the same thread for the stem. The flowers is a Tim Holtz Alteration Die called Rosette, I used the small one and MME papers, added a little button to it. The Flowers are all Prima 's Botanical Range and the brads are from Basic Grey. The little pearls are also from Prima.  The Ornate corners are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The sweet Butterfly is Prima and the webbing has been chalked to give it a green haze. The sweet ornate sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps.

The Pixie Cottage #62 - Sketch and/or Sparkle

Good Morning my Dears,  It's been ages since I posted anything, the horrible bug really floored me, I've had no energy what so ever.  Feeling a bit more like myself now but still feeling a little drained.

I'm here to tell you all about the new Challenge over at The Pixie Cottage, sadly this will be my last DT card for the lovely Michelle.  I've had a wonderful 6 month term and I've thoroughly enjoyed working with all the lovely talented and sweet girls.

We have a wonderful sketch and/or the theme of Sparkle this week. I've gone with the glitter aspect and I've paper pieced sweet Hannah's dress and added glamour dust to the spots on her dress.  I've also used glitter paper from Trim craft called Love Letters, it's a stunning 6x6 pad with lots of glittery papers and double sided papers too.  I'll be buying more of this.

I've used a craft concept embossing folder behind the image called flutterby, it's so pretty, I then sanded it to make the image stand out a little. My full recipe for my card is below this post.

Whiff of Joy - Celebration + Blog Hop

Hello my Dears,  This is my second post and I've made this card specifically for The Whiff of Joy Celebration and Blog Hop Challenge.  I popped over to all the girls on the DT yesterday and oh my!! what creations they have made. Stunning to say the least.  WOJ are celebrating their 100th Challenge and have the theme of Anything Goes. There is an extra special prize from  Katharina as well as a wonderful prize from Simon Says Stamps. 

I've used Musing Melinda as my image and stamped her onto 140lb Langton water colour card and coloured her with Tim Holtz Distress inks. I'm still not too happy with my colouring but as I've only been using distress inks for a few weeks I'll keep at it and I'm sure I'll get better with time.

 My papers are a mish mash of designs. from Cosmo Cricket, MME & K & Co. Nestie's are from Spellbinders. My flowers, heart and tag are from Marianne D's & Spellbinders dies, I've used Cosmo Cricket paper for them. Diamante swirl is from E line. Glamour dust was used on Melinda's Wings.

Good Morning Everyone,  Oh it's Friday thank goodness, I've not been around since Monday, I've been really poorly !!!  the dreaded flue type bug hit me on Monday and I've been semi-conscious since. Mind you that's not a bad thing where my dear Hubby is concerned, he's had 4 days of peace and quiet, lol!!!

I'm being naughty really, he's looked after me beautifully, hot toddies, toast, toast and more toast!!!! hehehe!

Anyway I'm feeling a lot better now, It was my turn Host the challenge over at

Winter Wonderland

Where it is Marianne's Teams turn to inspire and enthuse you, which the girls have done beautifully, do pop over and take a peek at the wonderful creation made just for you by my lovely friends on the DT.

Our theme this week is EMBOSSING  Dry or/and Heat.  Your choice.  I've done both with my card, the centre section has been embossed using my CB Swiss Dots folder and my heat embossing is my sentiment and the 4 fancy corner dies from Marianne D's die cuts.  I embossed them first through my big shot then distressed them with TH Victorian Velvet, I them ran over them with my clear ink pad and added Rangers Bridal embossing powder. I'm quite pleased with how they turned out.  I've even got the sewing machine out and stitched all around the card.  The full recipe for my card is below this post.

Birthday Wishes + Challenges

Good Evening my Dears,  I am absolutely loaded with a rotten head cold today, I was working last night doing cabaret in West Lothian where I must say the weather was atrocious.  I was driving home in  the most awful snowstorm blizzard conditions at 1.00am in the morning, I must have caught a chill in the -2 deg snowy conditions when I was loading up my car with my equipment.  I've so far had 3 lemsips, a couple of dozes on the settee, but I managed to make this card between 10am and now in starts n stops. 

I've used the newest Adorable stamp from Sugar Nellie, she is called Connie, isn't she stunning. I coloured her with my pro markers and cut her on an oval nestie die and mounted her onto a Nellie Sneddon fancy scalloped die.  My flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts but the gardenia have been pulled apart and re formed to suit my needs and I've popped little card candy in the centres. Creative Inspirations #55 Easel Card

This week where our lovely Emma has chosen the theme of an Easel Card.  I've used sweet Bunny Tilda and the Sandra Hammer tree stump and stool for Tilda to sit on before she starts her Easter Egg Hunt. I've used pro markers and pencils as my colour medium.  The little eggs hidden behind the flowers and the sentiment came from the pound shop and are made of chipboard.  My ribbon is from my local haberdashery store and the lovely big buttons are from fantasticribbons.co.uk  Papers are years old so can't remember who made them and my square doily is from ribbonbox.

Over at Really Reasonable Ribbon they are having a week of showing us how to get organised with our ribbon storage.  It's been fantastic so far with lots of lovely ideas from the DT and there are prizes to be won if you shame yourself!!! lol and show them how you store your ribbons.  Okay here goes, but please don't laugh.  It kinda works for me cause I'm the one using the system I have (which is none really).

This is a double sided tool box that I borrowed!!! from my husband and it houses the speciality ribbons and lace.

Prairie Fairy Fun Friday #48 It's my Party

Hello my Dears,  well what a turn round in the weather, I told you yesterday it was lovely and Sunny with a strong wind, well late afternoon boy did it change.  The sky was black we then had huge hailstones followed by  SNOW!!.  It has turned everything white again and as I sit telling you about it the snow has reappeared and it's quite heavy.  Will this wintry weather ever end!!!!   

Anyway it's Friday, the start of the weekend and another new and exciting bi-weekly challenge is starting over at Fairy Fun Friday,  We had a wonderful response to our Inspired by a Song challenge, being a professional singer it was fantastic to see all your wonderful creations.

This week it's the lovely Bev who is hosting the challenge and her theme is IT'S MY PARTY.  in honour of our Queen Roberta's 1st Birthday over at Prairie Fariy.  I have chosen one of Roberta's fab images called Bedtime Bella, available HERE and she is having a Pyjama Party, I've coloured her with pro markers and used flower soft on her little slippers.  The tag is removable and the details of her party can be written on the back.  The papers are from paper mania's Words and Rose Garden.  I used my new MS large border punch (Garden Gate).  I made the little flowers from various punches, the swirls are from a Marianne D's die.
