Creative Inspirations #65 Summertime - DT card

Good Morning my dears,  I hope you are all enjoying the last day of July!!  Yikes, this year is moving too fast.  Anyhoo! it's time for another wonderful challenge theme over at

Creative Inspirations

This fortnights theme has been chosen by the lovely Debbie and she would like to see all your Summertime Creations.

I've gone with a Summertime Wedding for my card, using sweet Tilda, Edwin and the lovely backdrop of sea, sun and sand. Everything has been coloured with Pro markers and my image has been placed onto my Fleur de lis square spellbinders die.

I used my brand new MS large branch border punch and cut out the vines I needed for the flowers to grow on, which are sweetheart blossoms from Wild Orchid Crafts. The full recipe for my card is below this post.

A Sprinkling of Stardust

Good day my lovelies,  I hope you are all having a wonderful one.  I wanted to show you sweet Stardust from the Sugar Nellie range of Simply Sassy Stamps.  I think she is so adorable and suitable for any occasion.  I coloured her with Pro markers and Derwent water  colour pencils, adding glamour dust to her little sprinkles of stardust and around the edge of the image.  I followed the sketch from The Sugar Bowl, created for this challenge by the lovely Kiki, the  theme is Lace.  You still have plenty of time to enter as the challenge is running until mid August.

I've used a few elements on my card. Papers are by Basic Grey and Prima. Swirl die cut is from Marianne D's creatable, Italian Doily is from Cheery Lynn dies. Pennant Die is from Whimsy Stamps. Chipboard button is from Cosmo Cricket and has been painted white and TH crackle glaze added. The lace is from my stash.

Sassy Artistic Corner Bookmark

Hi Friends,  Thought I'd show you a little corner bookmark I made for the Sugar Nellie facebook challenge that's happening this week. I've used my Sugar Nellie Sassy Artistic Goddess.  The theme is no brown/blonde/black/brunette hair colour allowed.  So I thought I would make her real Sassy with purple hair.  I've used my Promarkers to colour all of her and I think she's real cool.

The papers are from MME wild asparagus, tassel is LLB and the branch is my new large border MS punch, I just cut out the sizes I needed. Flowers are from making memories.

She also qualifies for a few challenge which are running this week so without further ado here they are.

A day at the Beach

Hello dear friends,  I've just finished this cute Tilda card and yes it's another masking job but this time I added the sand, sea and sky, now how adventurous am I !!! lol.  I'm so addicted to this type of stamping that I'm now looking all over the place for background stamps. So if you know anyone who is fed up with theirs then point them in my direction please.

There are some wonderful summer challenges going on just now so my motivation and inspiration came from the following Blogs (thanks to every one of them)

Magnolia-Licious Highlites Challenge:  This month there was a wonderful Summer Bash Blog Hop Party, there's still time to hop bye the way and a theme for the challenge of either Beach Bash, Fishing or  BBQ/Picnic. I chose to go to the Beach because we don't often get the chance here in Scotland with the weather being so changeable.

Dutch Magnolia Challenge:  This time the theme chosen was Summertime.

Pink Brown Cream My Fav Combo.

Good Afternoon my dears,  I have another sweet Tilda card to show you today.  I've used Tilda with her toy bunny coloured her with Pro Markers and Derwent water colour pencils. I followed the sketch over at Wild Orchid Crafts, took my colour scheme from Simply Magnolia and my favourite embellishments from the challenge over at Stamp Something.  The full recipe for my card is below this post.

It's another beautiful day here in Scotland so I'm off out into the garden to have a BBQ with my lovely neighbours.  I hope you are all having a wonderful day too.

Winter Wonderland - The Holly & The Ivy - DT card

Good Morning my Dears,  It's Friday and that means 1 more sleep till the weekend. lol.  Can you tell I'm desperate!!!  I've not had a great week so I'm hopeful that the weekend gives me a chance to chill out a little.

Anyway I'm here to tell you that it's time for another wonderful challenge over at Winter Wonderland. This week the lovely Marianne is your hostess and she has chosen the theme of Holly/Ivy you can use both or either whichever you have to hand, but we must see at least one on your creation to qualify for the prize.

I've used the gorgeous papermania A Silent Night papers, it's covered with holly and has lovely little raised berries on it. I've also popped on a tiny sentiment with holly on it.

My Image is a WOJ by Elizabeth Bell and she is called Musing Melinda.  I stamped her onto a tag and coloured her with Promarkers. The sentiment has been heat embossed with Heat it Up silver embossing powder.  You can find the full recipe for my card below this post.

Tilda with Roses for Simon Says Stamp Challenge

Good Evening everyone,  I hope you are all well and having a great day/evening/night.   It's 8.30pm here in Scotland, I'm not usually on my page at this time but I'm looking for cards that I haven't posted before and I found this wee cracker!!!  This is my June Mingle card for my partner over at Magnolia-luscious Yahoo Group.  We are asked to make a card and send it to someone in the Group.  This is the card I made for my partner and it went all the way to America, I know she received it because she sent me an email to let me know.

I've dragged it out of my archive folder in order to join in with Simon Says Stamp Challenge.  I've already submitted 8 cards, lol!! this will be number 9,

If they achieve 1,000 entries into this weeks challenge then Heidi will give an extra prize of $50.00  to spend in store.  I just couldn't resist.  So if you are sitting on any cards that have never seen the light of day or you've created something this week and haven't entered NOW IS THE TIME.  I'm not desperate to win the prize (oh yes she is!!!!)  but hey ho! someone has to win.  I won't go on any more, I won't even list the recipe cause you can see what I've used. Sweet Daisy

Hello again my dears,  this is my 2nd post today and I wanted to show you one of my all time favourite Sugar Nellie Stamps, she was created by the very talented Elizabeth Bell and her name is Daisy

I've coloured her with Pro markers and sat her on a circle nesti with a scallop nesti behind, both have been distressed with TH broken china distress ink.

I used a square paper doily and papers are all Papermania's. My swirls are from Marianne D dies, the full recipe for my card is below this post.  I do want to enter her into a few challenges so without further faffing here they are.

Elphine House Australian Challenge:  This is their first challenge and would like you to Lace it up but of course you must use an Elizabeth Bell Image. My lace is on top of my bunting.

Good Morning All!!  Guess what!!!!  

 I wanted  to let everyone know that the lovely Deb over at Emerald Faeries Garden is sponsoring Top Tip Tuesday challenge this week.  The theme is No Squares allowed.  Deb very kindly asked the newbie DT members of Emerald Faeries Garden if we would like to make a card and of course we all said YES PLEASE!!

I chose to make a flower card using the adorable Isla as my main image, she is so cute.  I coloured her with pro markers and cut her out to give the illusion of her floating away, she looks like she is thoroughly enjoying herself. I placed her on a blossom nesti.

I used my scallop circle Nesties to cover the petals of the flower card with DCWV paper Added a paper doily in the centre and then my doily lace die to add yet another doily. I love the effect it gives. Prima flowers and a little chipboard heart which I painted with white acrylic pain and then added TH distress crackle paint. My ticket sentiment is also from Emerald Faeries new sentiment release. Isla and ticket sentiment are available HERE.

Red White Blue/Nautical Tilda

Hi again, this is my second post today!!!!   after tidying up my craft room for the last 2 days!!!!  wish I'd never started but I can now find all the items I need to craft in a dignified and tidy manner.  Don't know how long it will last but hey ho!!  I've managed my 2nd card today.

It's been made with two challenges in mind.  I was so annoyed that time slipped away last week and I didn't manage to get a card made for TOMIC!!!!   well I won't miss it this week.

I've used sweet Tilda climbing up her rope ladder to board her ship. I've also used the colour theme of Red Blue & white in order that I can join in with Magnolia-licious challenge this fortnight.  The full recipe for my card is below this post.

Creative Inspirations #64 Christmas In July - DT card

Good Morning Everyone,  It's time for another wonderful challenge over at

Our theme for this fortnight is Christmas in July.  So if you haven't made a start on those Christmas cards/projects now is the ideal opportunity because believe me it will be here before we know it. This year is moving so fast. Well it is for me. lol.

I'm using one of the latest releases from Sugar Nellie, I think I've found a new favourite Christmas image.  I was so lucky to have won this sweet Furry Friend stamp including the papers, sentiment, ribbon. In fact everything on this card except the snowflakes was part of the candy just for doing the amazing New Release blog hop (which was entirely my pleasure).

I've used Pro markers for her face and hair and Derwent water colours for clothes and that adorable polar bear. Sprinkled Glamour Dust on her fur trim and little muff.

Good Morning my Dears,  I hope you are all having a nice weekend, I'm not working this time so I'm going to try and tidy up my craft room (it's in an awful mess)  I'm not a tidy crafter, every surface has something on it, in fact I spend more time shuffling it all  around to find things I need.  I went out yesterday and bought some new storage accordion folders for my mountain of papers. I'll let you see the pictures when I've finished, but it's gonna take a while.

I've made this card for a few challenges using sweet Tilda with butterfly and the wheelbarrow stamp.  I'm just loving this masking malarkey. Don't know why I was so petrified of doing it in the first place. lol.  I've popped the full recipe for the card at the bottom of this post.
