Christmas Preparations on-going - Gift boxes and place setting in one!!!

Hello My dears,  As promised here is another stage of my Christmas preparations.

I had loads of pretty Christmas paper left from last year so thought I'd use it up and make a batch of these sweet half pint gift milk cartons.  These are going to be sitting on my Daughter Dinner Table for the guest wee gift surprises

The little Doohickey Christmas tag die will have their names added when filled but more to the point they will also be used as
the Table place settings.  Saving me a lot more work!!!

I also have a sweet crafty friend who is having a Christmas Fete on December 14th to raise money for Charity so I'm making her half a dozen of the boxes to sell.

The picture above are the boxes for the Ladies/Girls gifts

and the picture below are for the Men/Boys

Here they are in all their Glory
In order to make it easy to get at the gifts I painted the black metal paper clips white and then added snowtex gluing them to the flaps.

I've used Magnolia Mini images from the Winter Wonderland 2013 Collection and coloured them with Flex-markers and Derwent soft pencils for shading.

You will find a list of my images and dies used with links at the bottom of my post.

That's all for me for now my dears, I hope you all have a wonderful day and an even craftier Weekend.

Hugs

Prima 12 Days of Christmas - Day 12 Flowers

Happy Thanks Giving to all my sweet friends across the pond, I hope your day is fabulous and shared with friends and family.

I'm here to share my last creation for the 12 Days of Christmas challenge over at Prima Marketing Flowers.  This is for Day 12 - Flowers - which of course Prima is so famous for - their lush blooms and sprays of deliciousness. I decided to make a Christmas Tag this time.

Anyway I've used a piece of a cardboard box and just taken the top layer off to leave the ridges which have then been painted with Gee-Sso and some snowtex added.  The paper is from the Prima Sweet Fairy Collection "wind chimes" I've used leaves and beautiful blooms which I cannot remember the names of as I've had them a while now. Even the sweet Crystals are Prima.

I must say a huge thank you once again for 12 fantastic days of motivation and beautiful creations from the Design Team. You were mega fabulous.

Hugs

Prima - 12 days of Christmas Challenge

Hello my dears,  Well I've done it again!! created a Christmas card without an image!!!  I have quite a few friends who don't appreciate the cute images I so love,  Just for them I create what I call out my out of the box cards.  Not my normal style but I do love them when they are finished.  I love to make them with my Prima Products. So so lush!!!

This card is made using only beautiful Prima Papers, journaling cards and flowers the only non Prima element is the sheer ribbon which came from my stash.

This is for the Prima 12 Days of Christmas Challenge which I'm loving, the DT's inspiration and ideas.  If you would like to join in then pop over to The Prima Blog HERE  and take a peek at the gorgeous creations.  I've made this card based on Day 10 and the Everyday Vintage Flora Kit.   My little tiled letters have come from Romance Novel and Tea Thyme Alphabet sticker sheets.  The flowers I've had for a while.  All my Prima Products come from the very sweet Angela over at Angelcrafts.biz

Thank you so much for popping in to visit I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Hugs

Midweek Magnolias DT #78 Midway Reminder

Good morning my dears,  I'm here to remind you that you still have time to join us over at

for our Anything but a Card challenge, which runs until next Tuesday.

I love making gifts just as little extras for my friends and family and this is for someone special, I will be adding some lovely miniature toiletry's as this particular friend is forever jetting away on holiday!!!  It's okay, she doesn't have a blog and wouldn't know how to search anything on the Net!!! bless her!!!

As you can see I've altered a Pringle's empty stacker which was full of yummy crisps (no I didn't eat them!!) they belonged to my Grandson's !!!

Just a wee tip here, these crisps are very strong flavoured and the inside of the box can be quite overwhelming so I always wipe inside with a damp paper towel and then I add a few drops of vanilla essence to a paper towel and leave overnight with the lid on.  The inside smells lovely when removed.

That's about it from me for now my dears but do come and join in our fun challenge, there is a wonderful surprise package up for grabs from Magnolia Sweden

Christmas Preparations Continue!!!!

Hello my dears,  I said I'd be back when I finished each of my Christmas Table Decorations yesterday I made some napkin holders and today I've finished off the table centre piece and I managed to do some recycling of the main pieces.

As some of you will already know, my Daughter got married late September and between us we made 35 of these sweetie trees for the guests tables at the evening reception. I ended up with one of them with only a few toffees left on it.  I knew it would come in handy for something.  lol

There was a LOT of die cutting/distressing of these gorgeous Magnolia Doohickey Peonies Dies. 20 x 6 = zillions. lol  but
I think it matches my napkin rings perfectly and I love the original mini Fairy Tilda

So my loves that's another one out of the way, just the place cards and the wee gift boxes to make now.  I'll need to get my thinking cap on for them but first I need to tidy up my craft space. Yikes!! how can one little creation cause such chaos!!!

I'll catch you all tomorrow with another titbit.

Hugs

Let The Preparations Begin !!!!!

Sorry about the above photo I must have clicked at least 30 but just couldn't get a clear one at this angle.

These ones below are much clearer.

Hi my dear friends,   Well it's started!!! my preparations for Christmas has begun!! but none of them are for me!! oh no! these will grace my Daughters dinner table for Christmas lunch.

Please forgive the paper towels - these are not the napkins we will be using,  the nice napkins are at my Daughters.  lol

I got some of my much loved Magnolia ink magazines out for inspiration and came across the lovely tutorial from Monique with the Peonies die.  It was in this years Issue 4 - page 32

I've started with the Napkin holders for this year, there will be 10 of us for Lunch 3 adult males - they will have the Christmas tree holders 2 Adult Females - they will have the Peonies flower
3 children - 2 boys and 1 girl the boys will have the sweet reindeer and the girl will have pretty Tilda in pink.

After finishing these I will work on the centre piece for the table, the place setting cards and the small gift boxes we open after finishing our lunch.  I will blog them as I finish them.

Anyway that's it from me for now, I have popped a list of ingredients used for my napkin holders at the bottom of my post.

Wishing you all a wonderful day.

Hugs

Tilda is catching Stars

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all keeping warm and cosy!!! It's bitterly cold here in Scotland -4 at the moment!  Brrrrr....  I think winter is no longer on its way -  It's HERE.

I am still in Christmas card mode, only about a dozen or so left to make but I need to get them finished as a lot of them are going overseas to some very special friends.

I used this sweet Tilda Catching Stars on my altered Advent calendar and just fell in love with her so I've used her again!!! colouring her with Copics and highlighting her with Derwent soft pencils I've also added a little glamour dust around her silhouette. A little frantage finishes the image off nicely.  You will find a list of ingredients used with links where possible at the bottom of my post.

Thank you so much for popping in to visit with me, I really do appreciate all your lovely comments and treasure all my followers (friends)  you keep me sane!!! Well Semi!!! lol

Have a great day everyone!
