I'm back with my 2nd post today, I want to show you a very emotional card from me, it's taken me days to assemble. I knew what I wanted to do from following a few of challenge blog themes this week. It was just putting it together that was my problem.!!! Sadly I lost my Mum many years ago ( I was only 14) and since becoming an adult have always bought her a card and her favourite flowers, I keep them up for a few days in my bedroom.
This year is a little different, it's the first time I've ever actually made her a hand crafted card, and I wanted it to be really special. So this is my finished tribute, and I must say I do like the finished article. I'm sure she would too.
The image was just a sketch with no colour on it, I used my pebbles inc green, gold & pink chalks
to give it a vintage look. I then used my olive & burgandy Plaid blending chalks to colour the lace (which was white) the effect is quite striking. I used them to colour the two nesties inside the card which again was plain white card and just didn't match the theme. I will write a message on this, but that's private.
The rest of the embellishments and the recipe can be seen at the bottom of the post.
These are the Challenges that gave me the incentive to create this card:
1. Simon Says Challenge: Vintage with Flowers.
2.Paperplay Challenge: Mother
3. Allsorts Challenge: Mother
4. Digital Tuesday Challenge: Mum
5. Crafty Catz Challenge: Fancy Edge & Ribbon (ribbon is on the Tag)
6. Crafty Cardmaker Challenge: Colour - split complimentary, you will have to pop
over and have a look at the colour schemes available.
7. Tellen's Place: Anything Goes.
8 Abc Challenge: O = One paper
9. Everybody's Art Challenge: Easel Card
10. Polka Doodles Challenge: A shaped card.
11. Stamp Something Challenge: Designer paper, ribbon, button
Thank you to all the challenges above for your inspiration this week.
Hugs Suzi xx
