Hiya, Wow!! what a response we had to last weeks stitching challenge, you really like this form of decorating your projects. Fantastic variety and I enjoyed visiting you all.

The flower is hand made following a tutorial over at Paper Pleasing, you can find the tutorial here this was made using old card stock and dabbed with G studio rose pink ink then painted with stickles Icicle.

One Stop Craft - Dt card + Challenges

Good Morning Friends, Over at One Stop Crafts Challenge the theme this week has been chosen by our lovely Itzuvit - she has come up with the theme Metallic - either metallic colours or maybe metal brads etc, so long as there is something metallic on your creation.

I've used an image from Fairy Colouring Pages, available here I used my Sakura Gelly Roll pens on parts of her wings. I've also used gold peel offs to the outside of the card and I found a few metallic butterfly's that I had forgotten I had.
The DP I've used was part of a candy I won way last year from the lovely Jude and it's papermania's eco friendly embossed flock paper. Again it's been in my paper caddy for yonks. But I had to wait until the right image and theme came around.

Our Sponsor this week is

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 47 Pink & Brown

Good Morning, it's a lovely day here, the sun is shining and there is just a slight breeze, I may even venture out at lunch time into the garden.

It's time for another challenge over at C.R.A.F.T. this week, and the theme is a colour one of
Pink and Brown, one of my fav colour combo's. We are being sponsored this week by
Stitchy Bear Stamps and they very kindly gave us a choice of images to play with for the challenge. I chose one of Cowgirl Up (CJ's) images called Lou, isn't she just the bizz.

Do pop over and take a look at the other DT members work they are all amazing.

That's all for now folks, hopefully I'll be back later with another creation, in the meantime take care and have a lovely day.

Suzi xx

Other challenges this card qualifies for:

1. Die Cut Dreams Challenge: Tear it up this week

2. Tellen's Place Challenge: Ink Distressing

3. Crafty Creations Challenge: Would like Distressing this week

4. Crafty Cardmakers Challenge: This week they would like to know what you would take with you to a Desert Island. Crafting items you just couldn't live without.

Where do I start. Well I would take lots of card stock and loads of digital images, cause eventually my ink pad would run out, I would need to take my promarkers and I couldn't live without my flowers. Although there might be some nice ones growing on the Island and I could dry them out in the sun and use them. I think the suitcase would be full to brimming, not enough room for clothes, but then I could make a grass skirt and use a couple of coconuts as a top. LOL.

Thank You - Gift Set + challenges

Good Morning, Hope you are all well and happy, I made this little gift set for a few challenges.
it's taken me a couple of days but I'm pleased with the result. The reason it's taken so long is due to the drying time of the box. It's an old watch box, you know the type, it comes with a padded insert that the watch is wrapped around. I t was plain white and I decided to paint it with Gold Metallic paint, and that took 24 hrs to dry.

Don't know where or who is going to receive it yet, if I can ever come to part with it. Funny how some things you make are too pretty to give away. I've used loads of bits and bobs on the decoration on both of them so I will put the recipe for it at the bottom of the post.

The Challenges I am entering are:

1. Just Magnolia Challenge: It was this theme and fabulous Blog Hop that started this little creation off. I thoroughly enjoyed the Hop and followed the beautiful sketch with the added theme of Thank You. There is still time to join in so do pop over and see the DT's amazing creations.

2. Bizzy Becs Creatalicious Challenge: This month the theme is Flowers & Wings, both must be on your creation.

3. One Stitch at a Time Challenge: Has a Thank you theme this week.

4. Magical Crafts Challenge: This week would like Something for the Girls

5. Stamp Something Challenge: Would like you to Layer Something.

6. Cute Card Thursday Challenge: Would like Touchy Feely this week, ribbons, buttons, flowers.

8. The Creative Cottage Challenge: Have the theme of Things with Wings this week.

9. Our Creative Corner Challenge: Would like to see Beautiful Butterfly's

Take care, Hugs Suzi xx

Happy Sunday Everyone, hope you are all having a wonderful day. It's time for another challenge over at The Crafty Pad, and this week the theme is Stitching, real or faux. I've made my first step card as my DT project and I must admit I thoroughly enjoyed it. I've used one of the new Anna images that Debbie has created and is now available in her store along with the many other gorgeous creations in either digi form or clear stamp form.

I have a confession to make, I made the card and then remembered that it was a stitching theme!!! Duh!! (put it down to another senior moment, lol) so I hand stitched around the image which is not as straight as it should be.

Our sponsor this week is the lovely Joanna Sheen, who is giving you a £10.00 voucher to spend in her shop. Good Morning, What a wonderful response we had to our Buttons challenge last week, it's amazing how varied the entries were with your inventive use of something as simple as buttons.

This week over at CRAFT Challenge we have a great sketch from our very own Eileen. You can turn it on its head, reverse it etc. I chose to turn it sideways and for once I did NOT use a stamped image but made my sentiment the focal point. I'm pleased with how it's turned out.

A Little Cutie Pie + challenges

Hi All, disappointing weather today, we have gone from 21 degrees yesterday to 9 degrees today, with a sharp wind. Heating is back on!!! I've managed to get a bit of crafting done in the last hour or so, had my twin Grandson's yesterday for a sleep over and they went home a couple of hours ago.

We did have fun though, we made cakes, planted some bulbs, went to the park, had chocolate, popcorn and juice while we watched their latest DVD.

I've created this card for a few challenges. Although I will say that Passion for Promarkers started me off with their intriguing theme this week. Make your own background using Promarkers only. These are the colours I've used on the paper. I must admit I didn't do it all from scratch. The paper had small gray squares on it. But I used my gray promarkers to shade them out a bit and then the other colours to fill in the centres. I embossed a nesti label 11 with my CB script embossing folder and then went over the raised letters with Cocktail Pink.

The image I've used is Tilda, which I won from the lovely Tasha (Millie's Magic Moments) when she was celebrating her Christmas Day Birthday with some gorgeous Candy. Isn't she just adorable.

Well that' s all for now my dears, I really need to crack on with my DT cards and projects for the coming week. I've managed 2 but still have another 2 to start. I hope you all have a lovely day. If you've popped in to see me, thank you, do come back soon.

Hugs Suzi xx

2. Just Magnolia Challenge: Punch it out. I've used my small tag punch and my 1" sentiment punch.

The Crafty Pad - Colours of the Rainbow.

Hi All, well it's another beautiful day here in Bonnie Scotland, and my Garden is all tidy and neat, new bulbs are in hanging baskets are up, troughs are filled with petunia and pansies. I must say though I am suffering today, my hips, knees, back etc are telling me I did too much. Never mind!! it will be gorgeous in a couple of weeks.

Today sees a new challenge over at The Crafty Pad, and the theme this week is Colours of the Rainbow + add a Punch or two. hehehe, no don't punch anyone just use a punched shape of some kind on your project.

I've gone for something a little different, I had an old clock with a crack on the front, still in working order and decided to give my great niece a treat - again - she has received all my little girly altered items since I started crafting last year, and she loves them all and displays them in her pretty bedroom.

All I did was remove the hands and mechanism - take out the photo - then using the wonderful Anna with Rainbow digital image from Debbie at The Crafty Pad, (available now) which was printed onto an A4 plain white card, I coloured her in using Promarkers, then used clear glamour dust over the rainbow, chalked the sky and the grass, used the old photo as a template and cut round it. Hey presto you have your clock face.

I used pretty paper and using Zig glue I put it all round the front of the clock, lay it on the paper and then using my scalpel I cut round it. A MS large flower punch gave me the flowers, attached little heart gems to the centre, the butterfly is from The Crafty Pad and coloured with promarkers.

Our Sponsor this week is Creative Craft World and Lou is giving you the chance to win
7 fabulous ProMarkers, I love them and no matter who you are you can never have enough. Do take a wander over to the shop and see the amazing craft items that Lou has for you.

Take a wander over to The Crafty Pad to see the other wonderful creations my fellow DT friends have conjured up. They are stunning.

I am entering this into Lexi's Creations Challenge: this week week she would like us to alter something.

Boy oh Boy!!!

There are a few challenges this week whose theme's are for either a child/boys card. It's my Grandsons Birthday on the 22nd and he is forever questioning his Mum about why he has to use a shampoo on his hair, why can't I just use soap? why do I need conditioner? I had a shower this morning, why do I need another one tonight ????

Hehehe, I honestly think he does it just to wind her up!! Anyway this will be his Birthday card from me and Grandad on the 22nd. I'm going to stamp the inside with WHY!!! I'm certain he'll get the humour of it. I adore the image for the simple reason that he is still wearing his underpants in the shower!!! could that be a typical boy thing.

I made the little shower cubicle from a piece of white card and just put grid marks on it and water coloured it with a splash of blue.

The challenges he is going to enter are:

1. A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge: the theme this week is One for the Boys

2. Simon Says Challenge: A card for a child.

3. Cards for Men Challenge: Are looking for a man/boy card with humour.

Thanks for popping by, hope you enjoyed your visit and do come back and see me soon.

Good Morning, It's time for another challenge over at C.R.A.F.T. and this week the theme is BUTTONS. I love button, have tons of them but keep forgetting to use them!!!! Well this week the prize up for grabs from our very own Claire is a beautiful selection of button.

Claire is a fab artist in her own right and has some outstanding images ( she like to call them doodles) over in her store, some of the DT have used them for their projects this week. Do go over and have a look for yourself.
The link to view her "Doodles" is Here.

Do pop over and have a peek at the wonderful creations my design team buddies have come up with, they are stunning.

I will be back a little later, but for now I'm going to visit some blogger friends (long overdue)
to see what's happening in their world. See you all later, and do have a nice day.

Hugs Suzi xx
