Two Hot Girlz. + challenges

Hello my lovelies, It's a very nice sunny day here is Scotland so after posting this I'm off out into the garden to pick some veg for dinner later. I just had to show this card for the amazing images from Kenny K. The girls are rockin n rollin today. I've used the freebie that was given out a while ago called Dixie Daisy, she's the one behind the keyboard and also Movie Star which I bought a few weeks ago.

The theme this week is MUSIC, so I got into word on the computer and made the backing paper I also reprinted Dixie Daisy onto a shrunken version of the paper and paper pieced her trousers then coloured them with promarkers the same as the bottom strip of musical notes. The Flowers is hand made from the same paper. The Cd discs on the top right corner were a freebie which I've reduced in size and cut out. I also made a tiny microphone to put in Movie Stars hand so that she could sing with Dixie Daisy. The sentiment is from Create TLC Creations. The full recipe for my card is below this post.

The Card qualifies for the following challenges:

1. Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge: This week the theme is MUSIC - they are also having a wonderful Blog Hop at the moment, you really should pop over and take a peek at the amazing new images that the DT have been playing with, I can feel another spend coming on. There is also amazing prizes to be won too.

2. Simon Says Challenge: The theme this week is Paper Piecing and I'm so glad this card qualifies cause it's one of my favourite challenge blogs and I'd hate to miss a week.

3. Cupcake Craft Challenge: This week would like us to go Digital, both my images are digital and so is my sentiment.

4. Charisma Cardz Challenge: Another of my favourites and this week the theme is HOT HOT HOT!!
I think my girlz are really hot, so I'm hoping this qualifies.

Thank you for popping by, do leave a few words to let me know you were here.

Have a wonderful day. - Suzi x

One Stop Craft #95- How Sentimental

Good Morning my dears, Well it's Saturday and another challenge begins over at
One Stop Crafts where the theme this week has been chosen by the lovely Maggie.
She would like to see How Sentimental you can get by making a Poem o
r sentiment the focal point of your project.

I was in need of a Sympathy card this week (which I loathe doing) always a very distressing subject at the best of times, but when you are making it for a friend it's even more distressing.

I've kept it very simple. I've used the wonderful Victorian frame and sen
timent from Create Tlc creations. All I've done is punched a few hearts in the corners, lightly coloured the flowers and added a ribbon at the bottom.

Our sponsor this week is Wink Wink Ink. who have a fab selection of digital images in their
store, just click on the link to take you there.

That's all from me this morning my dears, I may see you later on but in the meantime
have a wonderful weekend, I hope the sun is shining where ever you are.

The stitching is meant to be very rough and wonky cause lions aint' smooth. My brads and buttons are from my stash as is the string. The sentiment is from Create TLC and the ticket was stamped and
distressed using the same TH ink pad. A simple little card but I like it.

Creative Inspirations Challenge - Christmas in August

Hello my lovelies

It's Sunday Morning and time for another wonderful Challenge over at

Creative Inspirations

Our Theme this week chosen by the lovely Jude is Christmas in August. We want to see all those lovely Christmassy images and papers, maybe a bit of glitter, oh I love making these cards cause it gives me carte blanche on using glitter.

I've used a Prairie Fairy Designs image called Beary Sleepy - are they not the cutest pair you've ever seen. The two of them sound asleep knee deep in snow (snowtex) I've colo
ured the fairy with Pro Markers and glittered her little wings, fur trims on her coat and boots. I've only touched the bear with a little blue chalk at his paw and nose. He doesn't need much at all.

The little red nestie's I've used to mount the image and sentiment are made from leather, I've tried to zoom in to show it up better. The rest of the recipe is below this post.

You need to pop over to the blog and see the wonderful Christmassy creations the other members of the DT have made for you, they are just adorable.

Our Sponsor this week is none other than Whiff of Joy Stamps - and as always there will be a fantastic prize up for grabs. But just in case you want one of their beautiful stamps before the challenge finishes then here is the link to their on line store. Just click on the banner and hey presto you're there.

Butterfly's and sparkle

Good morning again, this is my 2nd post today and it's to show you my DT card for the challenge over at The Crafty Pad & I did it Forum. which has a theme of Blue & Ivory with an added element of using Butterfly's.

I have to tell you in the making of this card there were lots of challenges that helped me along the way in the design of the card.

I've used the beautiful butterfly's and verse from The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs store created by the lovely Debbie. I've coloured them with Promarkers, used perfect pearls on them and then glamour dust on the top butterfly's. The verse is printed out and adhered to a chipboard heart from pinflair and some little pearl added. I distressed the edges and aged it a little with TH distress inks. I even used my pro markers to colour the organza which started out cream.

The rest of the recipe is below this post. The challenges that I am entering are:

1. Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge MMSC67:
I followed the wonderful sketch but turned it to suit the verse and image.

2. Creatalicious Challenge: This month would like to see Vintage.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 64 Picture Inspiration

Good Morning my dears, I hope you are all having a lovely week so far. It's time for another challenge over at C.R.A.F.T. and the theme is a colour one with our inspirational picture below.

Lots of lovely summery coloured sugary sweets. Do take your inspiration from the picture and turn it into a craft project, it can be a card, wall hanging, scrapbook page , or like me a little door hanger which I have made as a gift for a friends little girl Sophie who is taking the big step of moving into her own bedroom at the weekend. I'm hoping the little gift will
encourage her to stay in the bedroom!!! when it comes to sleep time. lol.

I've used a Prairie Fairy Designs image called Bedtime Bella, isn't she sweet with her litte blanket and fluffy slippers. I've used pro markers to colour her, the rest of the recipe is below this post.

Our Sponsor this week is the lovely Donna from Donnas Den of Crafts and she is giving one very lucky winner this beautiful selection of Christmas Paper. Mmm.. Yummy!!

Wednesday, August 18

Sorry I haven't been on for a couple of weeks - life has been a bit hectic.

I can't show you what's on my actual workspace - it's an on going project for this Friday and it isn't dry yet, I can't move it because I have badly stained purple fingers, so I thought I'd show you a little bit of my work room.

More important is what's sitting on my kitchen work space in the first picture and has given me my purple fingers. I spent most of the day yesterday picking veg from my garden and this morning boiling and peeling beetroot ready for pickling. Shelling peas, washing potatoes, silver skin onions, green beans, carrots, garlic, aubergine, turnip and courgettes. Not a bad yield considering I only started seriously with my veg plot last year.

I still have the second picture to prepare yet. So I'm off to finish it now.

Do pop over to Julia's (Stamping Ground) who started all of this and see her nice tidy desk this week.

Hope you all have a great Wednesday -

Suzi x
