Oh so Pretty Tilda + challenges

Hi again my dears,  I think this is my favourite Tilda from the new collection. but then I say that whenever I ink another one up !!  This is Tilda with big bow from the new Oh so Special release.  She is soo.... cute.

I was browsing this morning and came across quite a few challenges that have inspired my card. From Valentine theme, to lots of hearts, swirls, embossing, flowers, scripture.  This card has them all.

I've coloured Tilda with Pro Markers (skin) and aqua markers (clothes)

The large heart has been triple heat embossed and the two smaller pink heart have been heat embossed just the once. I won't go into all the details as my full recipe for the card is below this post.

Magnolia Down Under:  Would like you to emboss heat or dry. All my hearts have been heat embossed

Just Magnolia:  Would like to see Dots/Spots on your creation. My DP has fuzzy spots in between the tiny flowers.

Creative Inspirations #52 Valentine/Love DT card

Good Morning my Lovelies,  Well I'm feeling a little better this morning but I didn't have a very good night last night,  I think because I'd been in and out of bed all day with this dreaded lurgy,  so I had a very disturbed nights sleep.  What ever it is I've caught it has totally drained me of energy.  I'm typing this in a kinda haze. Mind you that's not so unusual for me. lol

It's Sunday morning and time for another challenge over at Creative Inspirations for this fortnight.  What an amazing number of entries we had for our Birthday Celebrations and our Blog Hop.  It was amazing.

I'm looking forward to seeing all your lovely creations for the new theme which is Valentine/Love.  I've gone down the route of a non traditional colour theme for my Valentine card, using golds, browns, ivory and whites.  I think it looks quite nice.  I've used sweet Tilda and coloured her with TH distress inks and I am thoroughly enjoying using this medium (always nice to have a change now and then)  My full recipe for my card is below this post.

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend and that you will pop over and join in the challenge at some stage over the next two week.

Simply Sweet and oh so Sassy !!

Good Afternoon my Sweet Friends.  I'm still not feeling great, spent most of the day yesterday in and out of bed, had a very disturbed night (probably due to me dozing on and off through the day).  I had to finish this adorable card for the Gdt call over at Sugar Nellie -Simply Sassy which ends in a few hours time. The image is called Fairy Tale and she is available over at Funky Kits.  The new range of Sassy Girls has just been released and I can't wait to get my hands on them.

I followed the sketch from The Sugar Bowl and I've kept it real simple (for me) no flowers, swirls, lace etc. I like it though.  I wanted the image to take centre stage.  She has been coloured with pro markers and cut out to sit in front of the pretty Marianne D Butterfly die.  My papers are from MME, Basic Grey and Karrs. A simple sentiment, satin ribbon and a few gems finish it off.

I am entering it into the following challenges:

Simply Sassy:  GDT call

The Sugar Bowl:  I followed Marie Theresa's lovely sketch, the added theme was Love.

Thank you for popping in to visit and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Prairie Fairy #45 For a Sweetheart. DT project

Good afternoon my dears,  I'm sorry this is a little late I had all intentions of writing it up this morning and then scheduling it for later.  But after being up for a couple of hours I felt really unwell, very dizzy, light headed and my whole body was aching.  I went to lay down on the bed for an hour and guess what !!!!
I dozed off and my dear hubby threw a quilt over me and left me.  I've just woken up 20 Min's ago, feeling even worse than before.  I'm posting this and then I'm off back to bed,  I'm definitely coming down with something!!!!

The Challenge over at Prairie Fairy Fun Friday this fortnight is to create something for a

I was asked by my 7yr old twin Grandsons to make something for their Girlfriends and this is what I've made them.  A couple of cello bags filled with chocolates with a simple 5 x 5 white card decorated with a MS heart punch, satin heart ribbon, a few flowers and of course the sweetest Little Valentine Gilly fairy on the block. I've coloured them with TH distress inks and stapled them onto the bags.  I'm sure the girls will love them.

Sweet Valentine Gilly comes as a set with beautiful frames available here along with all the other wonderful images that Roberta creates, if you haven't had a peek at the store then please do, you won't be disappointed.

We also have some wonderful creations to enthuse and motivate you from our wonderful DT and some of the new DT have joined us this week. So pop over and take look.

My sentiment was specially designed for me (after I emailed her - cheeky mare that I am) well if you don't ask my Mother always said then you don't get !!! The lovely Lynne, my friend and one of our two super sponsors this week was so obliging - I gave her my spec and hey presto this adorable sentiment came back as quick as a flash. Thank you sweetie.

and the prize is a $10. certificate to use within the store

For my card I've used the lovely Tilda with her bow and quiver !!!  she has been coloured  with a mixture of pro markers and Tim Holtz distress inks and cut out onto a scalloped nestie. My papers are from Basic Grey and Prima.  I've used my MS heart border punch and some satin heart ribbon.  The little heart is a chipboard one from pin flair which I painted with red acrylic paint then a lovely mesh with little raised white dots which was glued on with glossy accents.  The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts and have been stickled with frosted lace, the swirls are Marianne D's dies. Diamante swirl is Prima and the gossamer butterfly is from my stash.  I hope you like my little creation.

Hello my dears,  I hope you are all having a great week so far,  I coloured up this beautiful WOJ image using nothing but Tim Holtz distress inks and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  I needed a sketch to showcase it and whilst looking through some challenge blogs I found the sketch from Sketch Saturday and also came away with lots of other ideas for my finished card.

Anyway enough from me, here are the challenges that inspired this week:

Sweet in PInk + News !!!

Good Morning my Lovelies,  Well it's Friday and the end of my two weeks break from work, it all starts again tomorrow !!  but I have enjoyed this break, had some real time to myself, now back to earning a crust as they say.

I wanted to show the card I made as a replacement for Simon Says Stamp Challenge.  It's a long story but suffice to say I thought I got the combination wrong in the Bingo game over there and left a comment to say I would do a replacement.  The lovely Lorraine let me know that my card was fine and that I could use a diagonal line in the game.

As I had already completed my replacement card I thought I would still enter it.  It also falls into the theme of a few challenges this week.

Now for my NEWS!!!  sadly I've stepped down from the DT over at One Stop Crafts, not may I say an easy decision.  I've had a wonderful year with Shelley and all the girls, they are so friendly and supportive and I will miss them but I felt I needed a change.  I was in need of a boost and a change of direction.

I am pleased to announce that as of Today I will be joining Winter Wonderland Challenge Blog.  I am so excited!!! Of all the cards and craft I make I simply adore making Christmas Cards, I have a multitude of Christmas stamps, papers, embellies etc etc in fact enough to open a shop lol,  simply because it's my favourite season of all.  This is a double whammy for me,  I gave out and sent 65 hand made Christmas cards in December how fortunate that Marianne has given me the opportunity to make all my cards with no mad rush in Oct/Nov.   I am delighted and over the moon to be joining the other wonderfully talented ladies on the DT.  I look forward to creating with them all on next weeks challenge.

I am Proud to be a DT Member of

I would like to enter my card into the following Challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Challenge:  There's a game of Bingo to be had this week, go pick your line, there's Lot's to choose from.  I've gone with horizontal, Gems, Glitter and Ribbon

Papertake Weekly Challenge:  Would like to see Pearls & Ribbon this week.

Pile it On Challenge:  has an Anything goes this week

Simply Sassy GDT Call

Maria and the Sugar Nellie Sassy Girls are having a Guest Designer call over at the Simply Sassy Blog.  It's not a challenge blog, more of a Showcase Blog  to debut the new Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy Collections as they are released, which you can find at Funky Kits

You can find all the details of the GDT Call by clicking HERE

I must admit I fell in love with them from the moment I saw them.  I've used Pillow Talk and coloured her with pro markers, mounted her onto card which has been distressed with my TH distress tool and TH broken China distress ink. Papers are from Prima's Paisley Road and the punch work is a MS round the paper one and is called poppy. I've had this adorable ribbon for ages and never got round to using it, so I took my colour combo from it of Blue Green & White.  I think it's quite striking.  I've used Marianne D's flourish die and a simple sentiment.

Thank you for popping in to visit, I hope you all have a wonderful day ahead of you.

I've gone with just the theme this week which is LOVE.  For my card I've used the beautiful stamped image called Stargazer from Artish available over at Michelle's Scrapbooking & more   I used my new Aqua Markers from Letraset and I've kept my card very simple indeed, I wanted the image to take centre stage. The paper is from MME, I've triple mounted the image, distressed the edge, added some lovely ribbon bought at my local haberdashery store with a simple Sizzix tag for the sentiment. How Adorable is this image!!

Hello my Lovelies,  Wow have I struggled to post today !!! why!!! well it's my Birthday and we had planned to have a wee tea party for my sweet Grandchildren after school today but !!!! this morning my Daughter phoned to say the twins were not at school as they had been up most of the night with the dreaded runs and sickness.  So out the window go my plans!!.   I went on to do the "normal" things such as housework!! making breakfast etc,  I was feeling very low around mid morning.  So my dear Hubby decided I needed to take my mind off the wee ones and took me out for a lovely long lunch, which was wonderful.  Then we went shopping and I bought some new bedding (we were going to re-decorate in a few months anyway)  oh it's gorgeous, I plumped for Jade Green, Ivory and duck egg blue.  So I'm looking forward to choosing the wallpaper and curtains to match.

Oh I'm going on too much aren't I,  anyway to cut a long story short when we got back I was made (forcibly) to sit and choose some new crafting stash - Say no more, I can't wait for the Postie to deliver my new Sugar Nellie and Tilda stamps.   In saying that I bought this beautiful download from Funky Kits.  She is one of the new Simply Adorable images called Joy Sitting from Sugar Nellie and what a joy she was to colour,. She is shaded in all the right places to make colouring a total dream.

I've made this card for the challenge over at The Sugar Bowl,  this fortnight it was Kiki's turn to pick the theme and she chose Birthdays and she also produced the wonderful sketch,

Hopefully my dear Daughter and Grandson's will come visit me as soon as they are well enough, which I hope won't be too long.

Thank you so much for visiting and I hope you are having a lovely evening.

Hugs to you all   Suzi xox
