Coffe and Cream + Simon Says DT Call

This is my 2nd Post today,  I wanted to tell you that Simon Says Stamps Challenge have a wonderful challenge this week with the theme of Coffee & Cream.  One of my favourite colour combo's when I'm not creating in Pink. lol.   Not only that,  they are also looking for someone to join them in the Design Team, so I thought I might have a wee try out.  No harm in dreaming.!!

I've used the sweet Melinda with Bouquet stamp by Elizabeth Bell from Whiff of Joy, coloured her with  Pro Markers and popped some glamour dust on her delicate wings.  My papers are from K&Co Classic 4x6 Mat Pad. I used a spellbinders pendant (Fair Isle) die and distressed it with TH tea dye and brushed corduroy inks. The Flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts but they have been altered, I ripped them apart and re assembled them to enable me to use the corduroy brads which have been coloured with pro markers as they were originally white.  The little charm is from my stash, pearls from Prima and webbing from Bunny Zoe's Crafts.

Praire Fairy Fun Friday #47 Inspired by a Song - DT card

Song Title:  You Hold the Key to my Heart by "Blondie"

Hello my Dears,  It's a lovely sunny day here today, still quite chilly though,  around 7 degrees oh! but it's lovely to see the sun, lets me dream of the next season, which hopefully will arrive soon.

Well it's Friday which means another wonderful bi-weekly challenge over at Fairy Fun Friday and we have the lovely Terry hosting for you.  The theme is to use a Song Title as the basis to create your card or project.
I've used Roberta's adorable  Fairy Love image which you can find here and also the key and sentiment from the Vintage heart and key set which you can find here.  You don't have to use a Prairie Fairy Design image to join in the challenge but if you have one or two then we would love to see them.

I've used my pro markers to colour these sweet loving fairies and sprinkled glamour dust around the flowers. My papers are from LLB retro rose collection. I've used my CB embossing script folder on the panel behind the image. The card has been machine stitched around the edge.  The embossed key and heart padlock are from spellbinders Timeless Heritage. The netting is cut and sewn to give the rose from WOC a little more definition.

I hope you will pop on over to Fairy Fun Friday and take a peek at the amazing creation my fellow princesses have devised for you this week.  They are totally amazing.

Paper Piecing - I love it

Hello again my dears,  I'm back with my second post of the day but this isn't a DT card, I'm going to a huge family celebration tomorrow eve, our Great Niece is getting engaged and this is the wee card I've made for her.  My dear hubbies family is quite a large one, 4 brothers n sister, between the five we have 21 Nieces and Nephews and they have given us 34 great Nieces and Nephews and one Great Great Niece, when we include Scott's family it's going to be some Party!!!  I'm really looking forward to it.

I didn't want to make the card too girly after all it's for both of them so I chose this wonderful quirky image of Ben & Nora from Whiff of Joy, coloured the skin tones with pro markers and paper pieced his suit and hat and Nora's dress.  I've used the same papers to punch a couple of borders with my new MS Garden Gate large border punch and the flower is made using a Marianne Die with the same paper.  I think it's lovely and I'm sure they will love it.

A Very Proud Grandmother !!!

Hi Guys n Gals,  As some of you already know I have twin Grandsons Aaron & Ross,  they take a keen interest in Grans crafting and they have been colouring and creating with me for the last year or so.  Now to cut a long story short, Ross really isn't that interested (I think he does it because he wants to please Gran)  Aaron on the other hand is very serious about his colouring and watches me like a hawk (he wants to be a fashion designer as his real job when he grows up where Ross wants to be a Fireman for 4 days and a cake maker for 2 days) lol.  Kid's!!!!!  Aaron has been asking me that when he gets good enough and stays inside the lines would I show his colouring on my BLOB!!!

After picking them up from school today they told me they were colouring in and learning how to say Happy New Year in Chinese at school today and could they colour in one of my stamps after dinner.  Well after dinner Ross wasn't interested, he wanted to play on the PS3 with Grandad, so Aaron chose his stamp (I haven't even used this one yet)  and with my whispers pens and the cover of the stamp, a bit of paper to "TEST" his colours he went to work!!!! OMG!! I'm gobsmacked at what he achieved.  I promised him I would BLOB it and show him the post when he comes back down to see me next week.  So Promise kept.
What do you think!! do I have competition or what.
