Tilda's getting cuddles

Hello my dears,  I've not blogged for a few days now!!  I'll tell you why shall I ??

Last week I invested in 48 copic markers, they came on Monday and I've been beavering away trying them all out and this is my first finished image using nothing but copics.  I know I've got a long way to go i.e. shading etc, but I'm quite pleased with the effect.  I love colouring and have used lots of different medium but I must say I've fallen in love with these pens.  Don't think my Bank Manager is going to like me very much as I build up my collection !!!!!!!!

Anyway.  I made this card for a few challenges although I've never used these colours together I think they work so well.  So without further ado I'd like to enter:

Magnolia Down Under Challenge:  The theme this week is a fabulous colour combo of Orange/Pink/White.

Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge:  I know I'm cutting it a bit neat with my entry but I haven't missed one yet, the theme is Spring is just around the corner.

Simon Says Stamps Challenge:  Have an Anything Goes this week.

I would like to say a big Hello to my new followers,  thank you so much for taking the time to visit and for leaving such wonderful comments.  You have no idea how much they mean to me.

Sugar Nellie - Sunday Showcase - Woohooo!!! It's ME !!

A very good Sunday morning to you all.  I was so surprised, delighted and thrilled when Elaine dropped me an email to ask if I would like to take part in the Sunday Showcase over at the Sugar Nellie Blog.   Well what do you think I said ......................   Uh!! Me!!  YES please.

I've had a love of Sugar Nellie stamps since they launched the sweet Simply Sassy stamp range in September 2010,  I was fairly new to crafting and blogging only starting in late 2009 so was still finding my feet so to speak.

Anyway to get back to my topic.   Elaine asked me to make a new card for her which I did and to my shame - I found this adorable Sugar Nellie stamp which I bought last April and had never inked up, so I knew I had to use her.

She is called Outdoor Adventure and is so very pretty. You can find her over at Funky Kits along with all the other wonderful Sugar Nellie Stamps.  She has been coloured with Pro/Flex Markers and Derwent Artists pencils using Sansodor oil.   A full recipe for my card is below this post if you want to know all the ingredients.

In the meantime do pop over to the Sugar Nellie Blog and find out a little more about me!!!!!!! lol.

Thanks for popping in to visit, I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday.

I wanted to show you a sweet tag that I made. I started out with a piece of corrugated card and dabbed it all over with some white acrylic pain, then distressed the edges with Tim Holtz old paper ink.   Stitched some K&Co paper to card and added this over the lovely lace at the edge.  I knew my images were going to be sweet Tilda and my Magnolia sentiment stamp which were coloured with Pro&Flex Markers.  I will put a full recipe of my ingredients below this post for you.

Sky High with Love

Woohoo!!! it's nearly the weekend,  I'm looking forward to meeting up with all my lovely crafting buddies on Saturday for our monthly crop, but that's tomorrow so I'd better contain my excitement and get on with what I'm doing today.

I spent the morning tidying up my craft room and putting back all the items I've been using over the last few days.  Once that was done I managed to make this card off for a few challenges that gave me the inspiration to start it.

I've used this sweet Tilda with heart and my Magnolia basket stamp.  I merged both stamps so that Tilda is sitting inside the basket. I'm quite please with the effect.  She has been coloured with Pro&Flex markers and the clouds behind her were created using Tim Holtz broken sky distress ink.  A full recipe for my card is below this post if you would like to look.

Secrets in a suitcase

Hello All,  I needed a handmade Birthday gift for a crafting friend who loves to sew and knit.  We give each other a little something on Birthdays and Christmas time to accompany our bought presents.

I've had this little chipboard suitcase for some time and just never got round to doing anything with it.  I started out painting the outside and inside with white acrylic paint.  I then used some gorgeous Marianne Design Paper Bloc Pretty Pastels. The inside papers is from the same bloc.  All the die cuts are from Marianne Designs, scissors, buttons,  the little cut out holding the threads are just cut out from the paper and glued onto stronger card.  I think she is going to love it.

There is a full recipe of my wee suitcase below this post.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge:  Anything goes this week.

My Craft Spot Challenge:  Would like to see something really Girly Girl

Tando Creative Challenge 44:  This time round would love to see something Leap off the Page.
