Magnolia-licious DT Monochromatic Challenge

Good morning my dears, I'm here to remind you that you still have oodles of time to pop over and join in the fun at

Magnolia-licious Challenge

Our theme is Monochromatic and as you can see I've gone with grey tones which I think are perfect on this Kraft gift bag. My image is Show me the Way Tilda from the Winter Wonderland collection 2013 available HERE  I have also used the new #2 Early Bird Doohickey die club kit, the cute horse x2 , tree x 2 , snowflake x4, Holly & Berry leaves x 2 and the snowflake border.

My first layer of paper is Tim Holtz shabby chic 12 x 12 pad which I've stitched around the edges using my 20yr old trusty sewing machine. My second lair of paper is from Maya designs and is the vintage Autumn basics 6x6 pad. I've also used this paper to cut out some of the dies.

The stamps surrounding Tilda are from Marianne Designs, the recipe stamp at the top is from paperartsy and the December 25th is cut from TH paper pad.

Our sponsor as always is the very generous Diana with a fabulous
Special Surprise package.

Don't forget you could also win a prize if you leave a comment on the Main Blog post and on our Design Team posts.  The more comments you leave the more chance you have to win.

Wishing you all a fabulous day and I am so looking forward to
seeing all your beautiful projects over the next few weeks.

Vintage Christmas gift box and card

Hello my dears,   I hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend.  I know I am!!  I wanted to share a shabby vintage style card and gift box that I've been playing with over the past couple of days.

Most of you that follow me will know that I've fallen head over heels in love with the fabulous Heartfelt Creations Stamps and Dies.  I don't have an abundance of their products yet (but my stash is slowly growing).

I still have tons of Christmas papers from last year and the year before!!!!  and I am determined to use up as many of them as possible.  My taste in papers has changed so the bright reds/greens and heavily patterned papers etc I will be donating to my Grandchildren's school and I'll be keeping and using the nice muted blues/creams/neutrals etc.  like the ones above.

My card is a 6x6 and my box is a 6x4x2 I've used a couple of vintage images from a Marianne Design Sheet, everything has been distress with my Th distress wheel and then edges with some thick gesso paint  The flowers are Vintage Morning background stamp and die from Heartfelt Creations and the dies behind are Raindrops on Roses from Spellbinders for Heartfelt Creations.

All the flowers have been treated with gesso paint and glamour dust. The ribbon is SU and the pin I made myself.  The matching bow I made using my envelope punch board.  The cute wooden heart is from Live and Love crafts.

Anyway's that's all from me for today, I have a few projects in the pipe line so I'll be back to share them with you soon.

Have a wonderful weekend where ever you are.

Giving Gifts!!! Altered Boxes

Good morning my dears,  Well I've finally completed decorating all of my 3 plain boring boxes and I must say I'm rather pleased with how they turned out.  Here you can see the 3 boxes fitting inside each other.

Sadly I ran out of my precious Almanac paper when I finished the 2nd box but I wasn't going to be beaten!!! lol.  I found some Core' dination white wash card that matched the peach colour of the Almanac paper.  So I stamped all over it with a swirly stamp and then covered the lot in beautiful lace tulle.  It did the trick perfectly.

I've used loads of these beautiful Vintage Morning blossom stamps and dies from Heartfelt creation to make an abundance of flowers for the lids.  I've also used my air dry clay moulds, lace, ribbons, chipboard hearts, tags, etc etc etc.

Here are some close up pictures of the lids to let you see some more details.
