Mixed Media Altered Jewellery Tray !!

Good morning my dears,  I'm here to share my altered Jewellery tray
that I found in Home Bargains for the pricely sum of £2.00.

I've turned into a Christmas Shadow Box using the gorgeous
Mintay Home for Christmas 12x12 & 6x6  paper collection, I am so
loving every tiny detail.  Let me take you through each section and
explain the process.

I painted the whole box with gesso to start off and then chose the gorgeous
panelled blue paper as my background making sure I cut it to make sure
it all matched up from top to bottom and side to side.
I used pure white flower soft on the floors of all the section just
to give it that extra texture, for this section I used a Tim Holtz mini
Christmas tree, painting it with gesso and adding flat back pearls
as baubles and I fussy cut and glittered a star from the paper collection
to add to the top.  To finish it off I fussy cut a wreath and hung it on the wall.

For this section, I made a little frame from Air dry clay and fussy cut
a snowglobe from the paper collection. I made a little set of drawers
from Kraft card and cut out 4 of the drawer panels from the 6x6 paper
collection. I also fussy cut the little ornaments to sit on top of the drawers.

For this section I used a Marianne Design Chair die that I had
in my stash and scored it at the bottom of the chair back to
make it 3d I  did the same for the little coffee table cutting
the whole back section away. I covered the seat with paper from
the collection and the table with some pretty gold dotted washi tape
adding some fussy cut elements to the table.

I didn't have a Chrismtas tree big enough to be in proportion for this section
so I made a paper cone and used some organza pleated trim glued around
it to make the tree adding some gold and glitter stamens as the decorations
and topped it off with a chipboard snowflake covered in gold glamour dust.

I fussy cut the fireplace out from the collection and made three tiny parcels
using white card stock and papers from the collection.  The cute standard
lamp is another die from Marianne Designs, it has gold washi tape added to
kraft card and then die cut out, the shade is paper from the collection.

The top border is a 12" sizzix die and the two section on the middle and bottom
are the off cuts from the top border.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit me today,  I really appreciate
it and love reading your comments.  Have a wonderful weekend
and I'll see you all again soon

Hugs
