Birthday Gift Idea!!! Altered Book!!

Hello my lovely's,  I'm here today to share another gift I made for a sweet
friends Birthday,  this lady loves pink!! flowers!! Lace!! Bling!! Pearls and
anything Shabby Chic!!
I bought a few hard backed books from my local charity shop in the knowledge
that they were going to be altered and given out as gifts!!  we all have
tons of stash that we never seem to get round to using and this is
the perfect way of using up all the odd bits n bobs and making
something extra special for friends.
There are lots of tutorials on You Tube on how to alter books and once
you've done one then you will find your own way of adapting so that
it becomes an easy process.
All of my flowers with the exception of one are from I Am Roses,  the rest
of my embellishments are from my stash.  I hope you will give this techniqe a try,

Here is a wee video showing various angles of the book,  in the meantime I wish
you all a safe, healthy and crafty weekend.

More Birthday Gifts!!!

Hello again friends,  I'm here sharing another recently completed Birthday gift
with you. I used the gorgeous Graphic45 Papers called
Ladies Diary and of course the fabulous Tonic Keepsake Rotating Memoirs base die.

This time I've turned it into a little rotating photograph album that can hold 16
2.5 x 2.5 pictures of your loved ones with room for journalling on the
back of each mount.

The card is a 5 x 4 tent style using the same papers as the rotating memoirs.

Thank you so much for popping in to visit with me.
I hope you'll come back and see me

Anna-Marie Designs Weekend Treat!!!

Hello my lovely crafty friends,  I'm here today sharing some of the creations
I made at Anna-Marie Designs classes held in
Scotland last weekend.

It was a fabulous 2 days with lots of laughter, fun, drinking tea and eating
far too much cake sharing all this with the most amazing bunch of women
you could wish to meet, not forgetting  theTim (Anna-Marie's other half) and of course the delightful Maya, the
sweetest and cutest dog on the planet.

Anyways I digress!!!  as most of you know I'm a papercrafter at heart but
have dabbled/winged it with the odd mixed media creation, not really knowing
what I was doing.  Well let me tell you I'm a lot more knowledgeable since
taking the class and watching  Anna-Marie and her lovely DT demonstrate
lots of techniques on the second day.   I jut LOVED it!!!

Here are a few of the makes we made on the Saturday but I will be back
with lots more over the coming weeks and months.  Look out world
Suzi is into mixed media in a big way. lol.

We used Viva Decor Inka Gold products and sandpaper to create the background DP.
The Butterfly is part of a napkin cut out and placed onto special napkin paper
with napkin glue and sealer. Flowers are from I am Roses, I used a script mask with
some structure paste finishing off with a scattering of crushed ice.

This was a keepsake chipboard box painted with viva decor ceramic matt black,
all the chipboard elements were painted with the same products.  We
then played around with various coloured Mica powders and white
chalky paint to get the effects wanted.
Above is a closer look at some of the elements the flowers were all paper, the bow
was a blue and white dotty fabric, you can see buttons and little pearl
accents which have all been treated the same as the chipboard.

This card is an 8 x 8 square there are 3 white base layers torn at the edges
the last layer with the pretty flowers and foliage is a napkin glued
onto napkin base card stock and sealed with the same glue. All my elements

My last project is an altered large old fashioned Lemonade bottle
it looks quite small in the picture below but it's slightly larger than
your standard wine bottle.  For this project we used Viva Decor
ceramic paste in white applied with a sponge and brush, this was dried
and Petena grey wax added in place to age it slightly, I then sandpapered
the whole thing before adding a torn in place napkin.  Think this was
one of my favourite techniques as on the Sunday we were show
how to alter lampshades and other household items that quite
honestly we would through away when replacing them.  This technique
is going to save me a fortune.

If you've made it to the end then please accept my heartfelt thanks
for coming in to visit with me.  I hope you've enjoyed your stay
and that you'll come back and see me again soon.

Birthdat Gift set !!

Good morning my dears, I hope you are all well
and having a fabulous day so far.!!!

I'm here to share a Birthday Gift set I made using Tonic's Keepsake rotating
memoirs die set.  I chose to use the beautiful 6x6 Designer papers from
Mintay called Life Stories (one of my all time favourites)!!

I also mad a matching card with the same papers and added some
flowers from I am Roses.

The Rotating index holder has 8 pages so I stamped and cut out the
Weekly days and made these cute little booklets from the papers so the recipient
can add in her appointments etc for each day.  They can then be refilled
with paper for the next week.  So it's an ongoing gift that can be used forever.

I used the little hexagon inserts that you're left with on all the pages to make
tuck spots so you can add the little booklets into them.

Here's a quick video showing you different angles of this adorable creation.

That's all from me for now but I will be back soon with more gift ideas and
3D creations.  In the mean time thank you so much for taking the time
to pop in and visit me, I hope you come back and see me again,

out at me as being perfect.!!!
