Tonic Studios meets Mintay Papers "Happy Place"

Hello again my lovely's  I hope you are all well and keeping safe!!

I'm here today to share a card I made using various Tonic Studio dies, foamiran
along with the beautiful Happy Place paper range from Mintay Papers available HERE

I will add links when describing the products used in order for you to source them.

The largest with the four curved corners. I then cut out the 1st layer of paper
using the next size down die.  The large rectange lacy die was cut using the
Exquisite envelope insert die set, cutting the base first in pearlescent blue frost
card stock and then again using the inlay die in white card stock before
adhering them together.    The frame and cutapart and enjoy all came from
Mintay Papers.

For my flowers I used Tonic Studios White Foamiran  and coloured it using some oil pastels
I made the leaves from the foamiran too by using a leaf mould and colouring them when
dried with distress inks.

Here is a close up of those pretty flowers.

Thank you so much for popping in to visit, I hope you enjoyed my project
and you'll come back to see me real soon.

Hello my lovely's,  I hope you are all well and keeping safe.  I'm here today sharing
a shadow box creation using the fabulous Tonic Studio Shadow Box Die set.
I am so in love with this amazingly verstile die.  If you saw my previous post you
will have seen the easel card I created using just the largest die and one of the corner
accent dies.   Well here is what it actually makes.  I did use one other die from the Cherished
Sentiments shadow frame die set to cut out the aperture
My base papers are from Tonic Studios and the floral papers are from Anna-Marie Designs
Flowers are from I Am Roses, sentiment is from Stempleglede.

Thank you so much for popping in to visit.  I hope you'll come back and see me soon.

Take Care Easel card

Hello my dear friends,  I haven't been posting for a while due to giving up my Design
Teams over the past month.  When Facebook took it upon themselves to ban my Blog
links due to someone reporting my post as spam out of sheer SPITE!! I lost my enthusiasm
and mojo for a while!! After 10 years of Blogging and sharing my love of craft it was
like someone punching me in the guts.

Unfortunately I still can't link back to my blog but the fight has come back and I'm
determined to keep sharing my love of crafting. I will continue to try and
find a solution to the FaceBook scenario!!!  I have opened up another blog
and will try to resolve the issues with this one but in the meantime I will
not be posting much here if you wish to follow my new blog it is

I recently bought some fabulous Tonic Studio Shadow Box die sets and using just the basic
set I made this fabulous shaped easel card using the largest 2 dies and one of the many
corner accent dies.   I love the result.

The papers are Life Stories from Mintay.  I created the flowers from the same papers
but the leaves are all fussy cut from the new 6x8 floral book.

Here is a couple of close up pics of them

Thank you so much for popping in to visit with me I hope you'll come
back to visit again with me soon.

Birthday Gift Idea!!! Altered Book!!

Hello my lovely's,  I'm here today to share another gift I made for a sweet
friends Birthday,  this lady loves pink!! flowers!! Lace!! Bling!! Pearls and
anything Shabby Chic!!
I bought a few hard backed books from my local charity shop in the knowledge
that they were going to be altered and given out as gifts!!  we all have
tons of stash that we never seem to get round to using and this is
the perfect way of using up all the odd bits n bobs and making
something extra special for friends.
There are lots of tutorials on You Tube on how to alter books and once
you've done one then you will find your own way of adapting so that
it becomes an easy process.
All of my flowers with the exception of one are from I Am Roses,  the rest
of my embellishments are from my stash.  I hope you will give this techniqe a try,

Here is a wee video showing various angles of the book,  in the meantime I wish
you all a safe, healthy and crafty weekend.

Anna-Marie Designs Weekend Treat!!!

Hello my lovely crafty friends,  I'm here today sharing some of the creations
I made at Anna-Marie Designs classes held in
Scotland last weekend.

It was a fabulous 2 days with lots of laughter, fun, drinking tea and eating
far too much cake sharing all this with the most amazing bunch of women
you could wish to meet, not forgetting  theTim (Anna-Marie's other half) and of course the delightful Maya, the
sweetest and cutest dog on the planet.

Anyways I digress!!!  as most of you know I'm a papercrafter at heart but
have dabbled/winged it with the odd mixed media creation, not really knowing
what I was doing.  Well let me tell you I'm a lot more knowledgeable since
taking the class and watching  Anna-Marie and her lovely DT demonstrate
lots of techniques on the second day.   I jut LOVED it!!!

Here are a few of the makes we made on the Saturday but I will be back
with lots more over the coming weeks and months.  Look out world
Suzi is into mixed media in a big way. lol.

We used Viva Decor Inka Gold products and sandpaper to create the background DP.
The Butterfly is part of a napkin cut out and placed onto special napkin paper
with napkin glue and sealer. Flowers are from I am Roses, I used a script mask with
some structure paste finishing off with a scattering of crushed ice.

This was a keepsake chipboard box painted with viva decor ceramic matt black,
all the chipboard elements were painted with the same products.  We
then played around with various coloured Mica powders and white
chalky paint to get the effects wanted.
Above is a closer look at some of the elements the flowers were all paper, the bow
was a blue and white dotty fabric, you can see buttons and little pearl
accents which have all been treated the same as the chipboard.

This card is an 8 x 8 square there are 3 white base layers torn at the edges
the last layer with the pretty flowers and foliage is a napkin glued
onto napkin base card stock and sealed with the same glue. All my elements

My last project is an altered large old fashioned Lemonade bottle
it looks quite small in the picture below but it's slightly larger than
your standard wine bottle.  For this project we used Viva Decor
ceramic paste in white applied with a sponge and brush, this was dried
and Petena grey wax added in place to age it slightly, I then sandpapered
the whole thing before adding a torn in place napkin.  Think this was
one of my favourite techniques as on the Sunday we were show
how to alter lampshades and other household items that quite
honestly we would through away when replacing them.  This technique
is going to save me a fortune.

If you've made it to the end then please accept my heartfelt thanks
for coming in to visit with me.  I hope you've enjoyed your stay
and that you'll come back and see me again soon.
